    I'm wondering if you ever got the co-pilot brakes added and how many pounds of useful load did you lose?

    Don't be afraid to come over the fence at 70 knots (heck, I even come over at 65) depending on conditions. People come in way too fast. I find that even at 70 knots I might float a bit. I reckon about 68 knots is perfect, but it's hard to be that accurate. Flew into LAX the other day doing about that, over the numbers, and rolled it right on. Had to be the best landing at LAX that day

    Well...I struck out. Called Edwards, but they don't give clearance for just a museum or tour. You have to be invited for a specific safety event or an outside contractor. Thanks anyway guys.

    It took 2 hours to get out of the parking lot at the Edwards Air Show this year (and 2 hours to drive to the lot). It would be worth filling out all the forms if they would approve a fly in for that event.

    I'm looking to visit Edward Airforce Base's museum, but I don't want to do the long drive through the desert. I seem to recall there might be some forms that allow a civilian to fly into an Air Force base. Anyone know if there is a way to get such permission?

    Hi y'all, Big trip this weekend to Columbia for the Father's Day Fly-In. Got the plane detailed at Artcraft at it looks great! I'd like to experiment with some power settings on the way up to Columbia. Anyone want to offer some fuel flow numbers at different MP/RPM settings (Mooney 201)? Thanks!

    Question: I want to spray the main gear attach bracket (i.e. doghouse assembly) where it is rivited to the spar, but I'm not exactly sure where that is (yes, I'm a noob). Anyone have a picture? Do I have to be careful about Corrosion X seeping into my fuel tanks if I spray into the wrong place?

    If someone has found a car sheepskin seatcover that fits our planes, it'd be great if they would post the brand/type. I think there must be some trial and error going on.

    At my local airport you usually have a crosswind on the takeoff runway, which leads to some squirreliness near rotation (even trying to hold the aileron into the wind). Is it better not to use flaps on takeoff when you have a crosswind and lots of runway?

    So the rattle turned out to be a very small weight that appears to help with the balance of the wheel.

    So I was having my electric trim switch replaced today. When we rolled the plane back there was a rattle sound that sounded like it came from inside the front wheel's cover. We took the accessible side off, but the air valve cover was still on. To get to the other side we are going to have to take the wheel off. Any ideas? Is there a valve cover on the other side that could have fallen off (I don't think so, but I don't know).

    My J came with them, but I wouldn't be comfortable flying without them (I'm about your height). You won't even notice them after a while.

    What's max CHT to avoid on climb up (not that it's been a problem)?

    So, I have a very short taxi now that I've switched airports. Even after waiting around for ten minutes, my CYL TEMP rarely gets to where the needle is in the green before takeoff. Sometimes, after waiting around for a while, it will get to 250. My question is do I need to wait until I'm in the green before take-off or just wait for it to get off the peg?

    Please, please, please, do it again next year! I may not be able to get my plane painted this year, but after having spent time with you guys, I know where I'd want it to be done. To bad about the winds, but my wife and I had a great time!
