  5. For years I thought one cannot slip a long body with full flaps. But somebody challenged they and now I can’t find anything on this. Does anyone know about this? Could not find in my POH
  6. Is this something that a pilot can install?
  7. This is for a friend: Our G 1000 panels are starting to get sticky buttons on them - meaning we have to press them several times to get them to work. Looking for replacement or preferably an upgrade. Please provide your thoughts or advice.
  8. It's ironic that RHV is the first to offer 100UL while at the same time will be closing in a few years.
  9. Any paint shop recommendation for near Daytona Beach? Thanks in Advance
  10. I have no idea what to insure my 1999 M20S for? I don’t really know what it would sell for? What are the pros/cons if I under and if I over insure the hull?
  11. I started looking into a new engine for my Eagle. I have an IO550G. My POH says IO550G. But my TCDS indicates IO550G6. But according to Air Power, Continental no longer makes the G6. What are my options?
  12. I thought there wasn't any "active" at an uncontrolled field, only "runway in use"
  13. Actually there were 20 planes. 3 parked in the wrong ramp and 1 came in. TTXsince their Mooney broke

Registration will be open until 1 week before the fly-in as we have to nail down the number of dinner reservations. Go to: Mooney-RoundUp-2.pdf (themooneyflyer.com) to get all the details and signup

  21. Sorry that we have been remiss in updating the information for the Fly-In. The May Edition of The Mooney Flyer has more information in the FROM THE EDITOR section. It has hotels that have offered discounts and car rental information. Here are the details as of today: 1) It starts Friday with wine & finger foods in our hangar around 5pm for FREE. 2) Saturday morning we will all meet on the ramp and welcome the rest of the arrivals and mingle. There might be 1-2 fun/informative presentations as well. 3) Saturday afternoon includes a) Wine tasting and a cave tour at Eberle Winery (Gary Eberle turns 80 that day and is a pilot and owns the winery, or b) Visit Estrella Warbirds Museum (On the airport) and c) a private tour of Antique Aero (one of the largest collections of old engines in the world. 4) Dinner at Cool Hand Lukes (The first 50 to signup for this event eat for FREE. All others are $50/person. 5 entree selections, appetizer, soft drink and essrt included). 5) A visit to Sensorio ( Walk through paths of 100,000 artistic lights in the rolling hills...). PLUS Paso Robles downtown is a pleasure to eat, drink and shop around. This could shape up to be the largest Mooney event of 2024 so don't miss it. Go to: https://TheMooneyFlyer.com to register soon as registration will close 2 weeks before the event since we have to make financial commitments by then. Hope to see new Mooniacs and old friends.
  22. There are certain areas where you do not cut corners and go for the best. The best investment that you can make in yourself and your Mooney flying is DON KAYE.
  23. About a year ago, the Mooney Safety Foundation ended their partnership with MAPA and partnered with The Mooney Flyer. It's been a win-win for both groups
  24. A good Mooniac friend is AOG in Petaluma (O69) in need of voltage regulator for his 66 Ranger. Anyone help him?
  25. I own an Eagle since 2009. Flies faster than most Ovations. Will not sell until I can no longer fly. Fantastic Mooney
