Its all about the density altitude! Cold and short always easier than hot high and short

My POH 67f states gear up for climb, doesnt say anywhere to leave gear down until no usable runway
if your on a 10K foot runway do you wait until your at 4K AGL before the gear goes up?
How would you know where that point is. Is it 1000 feet remaining or how about 700 if your light,
what about a 2500 foot strip with real trees not 50 ft make believe, when is that point of no usable runway?
on a high pitch attitude can you see that runway
could you identify your usable runway spot if you loose the engine during a VX climb on a 4K runway
Tailwind after take off at 50 ft

even though the nice little picture in the manual shows the gear down over those trees, you really need the gear up to get your climb performance.

When My IA started crapping out , I replaced it with a G5 and never looked back. After a year or so that single G5 turned into a G5 HSI, Garmin 530W, Stratus transponer,ADSB,SL30, PMA 8000b, GFC500 AP, and a new panel to fit it all in, electric step from takair(memeber here), and removal of the vac system . Did i think that single G5 would lead into all that? No. Would I do it again? Yes.

Shiny,
Will $100 get me your separator? I can probably find my own hoses, if that would make shipping easier. My email is : davecusto@sbcglobal.net

I have a 67F twisted wing witha few mods 201 screen, flap gap seals, lower cowl closure, 3 bladed prop .I mostly cruise at 68% power shooting for 9-12K pending winds aloft and DA, my normal TAS is 153-156 knots depending on weight of course. About book speeds for this old girl. No complaints
shes not very pretty but she make up for that with reliability and consistancy

You installed the mag, timed the mag( without the p lead ) then you connect the P lead and mag doesnt work !!!! Look at the shielding on the p lead, it cannot be crimped to the p lead terminal end

My 67F heater puts out massive amounts of heat , I always pull heat knob out and cold air knob, increasing airflow, then i use the cold air knob to mix to get to the perfect temp output
works perfect

Not that its legal but You only need a simple on off valve(humphrey makes such a valve) to relieve the vacuum that goes to the yoke button, The hardest part to find will be a quality tee of the correct ID size for the small vacuum line, to small of an ID and you will restrict the vacuum enough that it will not relieve the PC. 3/16 OD tubing no ID demensions given.
With a tight pc system and vaccum set to the higher side my mooney flew like a beechjet(no ailerons just spoilers) , at times 2 hands needed for turns more than just an adjustment( maybe I need to work out more) I personally like a lighter contol yoke or stick feel. I dont have a pc system any more, removing the servos made this mooney very light on the controls(GFC500 keeps her steady)

Are you talking about the seat back cam ?

1. Does it track straight on taxi? Is the ball centered in cruise? When checking people out in a Mooney, I often find myself asking for more right rudder on rotation and climb. There are times I even remind myself to put in more….rarely is it less…. Perhaps try more rudder before doing anything with rigging. I know you said you had previous time in Mooney, but our muscle memory gets altered with different airframes or lack of flying.
Ref. 155, agree with others, may be the volume pot. But, make sure it is not the rack. Jiggle the radio vs the pot to see if it makes a difference.
The First Ball centering check should be accomplished on the ground, level your plane witha level on the seat rails, check your ball for centered, adjust as needed. Then flight checks for proper rigging. I might also suggest your not using enough rudder for take off and inital climb, you can try low AS high power climbs at altitude, wings level, hold a heading, that will give you a fair assesment of needed rudder pressure.

I have a complete AW set up, removed from my 67f , the seperator is slightly dented but all parts and drain tubes are there! I might even have a new gasket that airwolf wants replaced each time you open the seperator ?
Wont take much of an offer to have me send this to someone who needs it
