  1. Well I solved my defroster issue. I replaced a scat house going to one side and that didn't work. So I unplugged it from the junction box and hooked up my shopvac blower and air moved out of the defroster. So I little stumped I decided to poke my finger in the hole (lets keep this at a rated G level) and felt something rubbery like a flapper valve. So I took off the larger scat hose and found the pictured rubber disc just kind of laying against the opening and blocking my defroster hoses. I have no idea what this goes to. My defrosters work good now, and the planes cabin heat seems to be a little more equally distributed. Any thoughts on the rubber disc?
  2. Thanks, I will take a look. I think on my last flight I did close the floor vents and had the cabin heat on, but I will have another look just in case I missed one.
  3. I have a 1968 M20G and was noticing behind the glareshield there are all these holes which look like they are for airflow for a defroster type function for the windshield. However, I don't have any separate controls and when I have the cabin heat on it doesn't seem like is any airflow going to the windshield. I was just curious if there was supposed to be and things to look at maybe I am missing. Thanks for any comments. Neal
  4. I second this. Yes its $75-$99 but money well spent. You get a title search, and all the information thats on record for that aircraft. 337s from the FAA and even a accident report from the NSTB if the plane was involved. I once had a 64 Cherokee 140 that I bought in 2000. I discovered from the FAA 337 it had part of the wing replaced. When to the NSTB and found that in 1970 the plane had a hard landing. There was only a single line entry in the logbook. 30 years later it was flying strong and many eyes had inspected it so I had never worried about it. But the fact remains that things can be missed in the logbook.
  5. I am looking for a KI-204 or 203 for parts. The bezel on mine is falling apart, other than that it works fine. If anyone has one to part with send me an email. Thanks Neal
  6. Thanks everyone.
  7. I found a local vendor in Kansas City that only does powder coating. They turned out awesome! I would highly recommend them. They charged me $95 for both which I thought was reasonable.
  8. Does anyone know the part number to a CAMLOC receptacle for a M20/g? On the top cowling on the fuselage one of the CAMLOCs broke. I tried looking in the IPC but it only show the screw part on the cowling itself. I was hoping to figure out the part number and where to order. Any help would greatly be appreciated Thanks Neal
  9. I have one a 170b that I was using for a backup radio in my Cherokee Six. Now that I have the Mooney I have no need for it. It worked great the last time I used it. PM me if you are interested. Neal
  10. Thanks everyone. I found a couple on Ebay. I will take a look at Wicks too. Neal
  11. Where is a good place to buy Mooney decals? I am looking for a few different sizes. I am getting my yokes powdercoated and would like to but the bird back in the center. Also would like to add some small ones to the seat belts and few other places. Thanks Neal
  12. If you don't mind me asking what was the cost to have this done? Thanks Neal
  13. All, Thanks for the replies. This CG makes sense as it seems pretty stout. I did push it but it didn't seem to do anything. Yes that is a spare GPS connector the previous owner had a handheld and/or panel mount unit that used it. I didn't notice it before I took the picture then when I posted I was I'll be dammed there it is... Cliffy, There is a cut out on the side panel to allow the breaker to pop out and/or reset. Thanks to all for the help. Neal
  14. I found this big red button behind the passenger side panel. I pushed the button and the wings didn't fall off nor did it launch the nukes... I am told its a circuit breaker, but to what I can only guess its for the bus bar. So when would I have to use it? Thanks Neal
  15. I don't have my parts manual handy, does anyone have the part number for the wing fuel drains. I have one that just started leaking so I thought I would put an order into Spruce and have one waiting when I GOT home. Thanks, Ps. I am a new 68 M20g owner. FB
