Thank-you. Mechanic was able to get it all squared away and working again. Thanks again.

Does anyone by chance happen to know the specific dimensions to the screws that hold the motor onto the gear side of the actuator. Mine decided to separate after vibrating 3 of them away. Thanks for any help.

I appreciate it. The hunt continues.

Do any of you gents off of the top of your head know the part number or appropriate replacement part for the CWS switch? Mine broke off flush with the yoke and I"m in need of a replacement. Thanks in advance! -

Mine is down low by the flaps and cowl flap switches above the fuel tank selector. Flew this weekend and his fix worked. Now it flashes for low vacuum and the flickering annunciator is all gone.

Well gents let me know how AVX goes. We were going to come over but the latest comments on foreflight say the runway is more of a disaster than normal. I think we are going to hit up Camarillo for lunch. Hope to meet up with you guys sometime for sure.

Just went through this same issue. The mechanic went through and it was a problem with the switch on the back of the HSI. He disconnected the high vacuum warning and calibrated the low vacuum side. Works perfect now. He said the high vacuum warning is ridiculous as the vacuum going low is the problem.

Hi gents, Sorry about the delay in responding.....I gotta figure out how to get notified when people add to this thread. I just logged back on to see if you guys might have another meet up planned. Either way I'd love to meet up with you guys and was thinking maybe Camarillo since it's really starting to warm up. I haven't been yet, but I hear the Waypoint Cafe is great. Talk to you all soon. New Electronics International Tachometer and Manifold Pressure Gauges

The new gauges are fantastic. The camera made the LED look overly bright than they actually are. We moved the stock EGT to the bottom of the cluster and moved the tach and MP gauges to a more visible position at the top. -

I cannot reccommend these new gauges enough. The tach is only reading zero because the engine is off when this photo was taken. -
I ran into you guys just by sheer chance as we had flown into KSMO for lunch that day. If you guys have another meet-up... please let us know. We'd be happy to cruise out and meet everyone. -Russ

Narco (radio, not cartel) interference with GNS530
RussG replied to FloridaMan's topic in Miscellaneous Aviation Talk
When I'm normally on with approach I try an listen to CTAF for home as I'm getting closer since approach dumps me pretty close to the airport. I normally start updating with CTAF while I'm still on with approach, but I'm not transmitting on the same frequency. If I have both Com1 and Com2 active and then try and transmit on either one when they're both active the headset screeching starts. If I turn one off it doesn't do it, but that means missed calls from approach. Any help is really appreciated. Russ -
I just had the firmware updated in my 530W at Advantage Avionics at KCNO. They were super helpful and it was free of charge.

Narco (radio, not cartel) interference with GNS530
RussG replied to FloridaMan's topic in Miscellaneous Aviation Talk
Did anyone ever find a resolution to this issue? I have a Garmin 530W and a Bendix/King KX165 for second Nav/Com. Whenever you have Com1 and Com2 active and then try and transmit, it make a horrible screeching sound in headsets. Everyone on the other end says the radios sound fine. The audio panel is a GMA 340. -
Thanks everyone that sent over the links to my email. I really appreciate all the help.

Does anyone happen to have one or PDF that you could email me? I am flabbergasted at how difficult it is to track down part numbers. Thanks so much! My email address is: russgay@verizon.net
