  1. Looking to move a m20c from SC to Venice Jack Fay 715 209 0699
  2. Are you going to be in WI for the holidays?
  3. I have a RoboTow for sale that I used to move my Ovation over the last four years. A discription can be seen on the Sportys website. The charger, battery, and tow bar all work as new. I'll sell it for $1,050 with free shipping.
  4. I would be pleased to be part of the Mooney map. I'm at KEAU. Jack
  5. Any pros or cons for this shop in Bartow FL.?
  6. I'm in Eau Claire so probably not much help, but I go to Jason in Benson, MN. I would think there would be plenty of help in the Chicago area. If you don't have any luck around Chicago John Miller is a very experienced Mooney mechanic. He is above Green Bay in Iron Mountain Kubick Aviation. Jack
  7. Simon A long way to go but an Eagle for sale in Menomonie, WI KLUM. It has been advertised in the MAPA Log magazine. Jack
  8. It looks like the muffs work. thanks for all the great information yes the coat we have is a two piece - top and belly
  9. Thanks also for the tip on putting the flaps down. This is getting off topic a bit, but we have the full gear set up for our Greyhound. We are new to this but they are supposed to have a single layer of skin unlike most that have 2. So you guessed it a full adornment of coats and boots. I would hate to think she is just being a fashionista!
  10. Thank you very much! Ill google mitt muffs haven't heard of those.
  11. Thank you very much! Ill google mitt muffs haven't heard of those.
  12. Your experience would be much appreciated jack
  13. I've been using the Robotow from Sporty's. Has worked fine for 2 years now and also folds into the baggage area. Jack
  14. Lots of great information thanks for the continued discussion . What a great aircraft. I'm coming over from a C182 so I think you all must know how impressed I am about the efficiencies and speed of the m20r. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks. At 9000 If I use the visor power settings for 65%, 2400 RPM, I think the MP was round 20", 14.2 gph,(ROP), 170 true.
  16. I also think it's a great set up for the price.
  17. I'm usually flying at 9000 or 10000 feet. Using the power settings for 65%, there is still plenty of black knob to push in at that altitude. Just wondering at what altitude you can run 65% and max out your throttle.
  18. For the Ovation drivers out there. Based on the book power settings, I haven't been up high enough yet to run out of MP. What seems to be that altitude for you?
  19. I'm sure there are plenty of posters that have gone from the king 94 to a newer unit. I don't have that experience as my panel already had a 430W when I bought it. I'll be working with that for the foreseeable future. There have been lots of posts here regarding Avidyne's competitive unit. Alot of the accolades have been for the labor savings of a slide in replacement for the 430/530 so that doesn't help you much. I'm not much help here.
  20. Mike do you already have a Garmin 530 in your panel or is the GTN 750 just a nav/com choice?
  21. Great. Thank you all for your feedback.
  22. Are you able to upload a flight plan from your IPad to a 430w while including a victor airway? Or is the 430 a generation behind on that one? Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Mo thanks for the terrific write up. What was the amount of labor need for the "slide in" replacement? jack
  24. Bob, Get ride in both. That's what made up my mind. The Mooney felt better to me. Unfortunately I'm a long way from VT.
  25. As the the caption says "Newbie". Much to learn here.
