Not saying that it is a bad deal but I also know there are better deals out there to be had.  Just got done shopping the whole mooney market and ended up with a 97 ovation 2 for a great price.  One that has less than 700 hours and no major damage history.  Someting to keep in mind with the higher time motor if it were replaced with a factory reman the prop strike damage history would disapear.  Its a buyers market right now and a 94 with 2440TT and 1770 on the motor with damage history, and its also comming up on needing an annual.  I'd think about beating that price up some more

Gear up in 99 and prop strike on 01.  Who knows what else the former pilot(s) did to this (was it flown at rental power too?)...  I wouldn't touch this plane personally.  My Mooney ('68) is a true NDH airframe.  There is a personal feeling of pride (if not a feeling of security) flying a plane 150-200 hrs per year in hard IMC that has been 40 years without an incident...  Maybe I just feel safer... Only my opinion though...
