aerobat95 Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 Hey guys as I am seaching out parts for my panel upgrade I was wondering if anyone has installed a EDM-900 in their plane? I like it due to its size and the ability to replace all the primary guages. How well does it interface with the current fuel senders? Any difficulties to be aware of before I have my A&P install it? -Ray Quote
PilotDerek Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 I believe it's the same as the EDM-830 but stc'd to replace all primary gauges. It is definately on my want list. I'd love to hear from anyone that has actual working knowledge as well. Did anyone see it at Osh or talk to the JPI reps there about it? Quote
fantom Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 The EDM-900 looked great at Oshkosh, the JPI guys said it was generating most of their sales, and I believe it. Being new, and hot, minimal discount, if any, but I'll be installing one soon. I posted some info on the JPI topic in the misc section. I'd be more concerned with the knowledge and ability of a non avionics shop installer, than the quality of the unit. It comes with a new fuel transducer I believe, and the K factor is adjustable via software, not the PIA adjustment required on a Shadin. Quote
