Huitt3106 Posted March 9, 2021 Report Posted March 9, 2021 I have been looking around and haven’t found many options up to this point for hearing protection for my furry friend. I am wondering if anybody has any experience with hearing protection solutions for dogs in particular. I see that sportys and a couple other vendors sell “Mutt Muffs” but they don’t have the greatest reviews for actual hearing protection. It seems like the foam they use doesn’t offer any real protection. We are picking up our new addition “Dobby” this Wednesday and I don’t want to deafen her prematurely once she’s able to fly with me. Our last friend (that we recently lost to dementia) went deaf before I ever took him flying so it was no real concern. Dobby is a Pomeranian/ chihuahua mix so she’s really small and I’ll need to take that into consideration when looking for solutions. Thanks in advance! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
carusoam Posted March 9, 2021 Report Posted March 9, 2021 https://mooneyspace.com/search/?q="Mutt muffs"&updated_after=any&sortby=relevancy Why use somebody else’s reviews when we have our own, by known people with real dogs... Some MSer’s feel their dog’s hearing is as important as their kid’s hearing... If you really want to go the distance for Fido.... start with earplugs first, then the mutt muffs... See if a halo headset will fit... There is also a few threads regarding O2 use... if you really want to go fast with Fido... Be sure to post pics of your dog... we have a thread for that around here... Best regards, -a-
Huitt3106 Posted March 9, 2021 Author Report Posted March 9, 2021 Fair enough! Usually when I search anything aviation the Mooneyspace results come up quickly. I missed out this time!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
