Flew across much of Texas today, and will fly across the state several more times in the next few days, starting early tomorrow morning.  I never imagined I would see this state on fire, but it is.  Really bad.  Sure wish we could get one of those tropical depressions to settle in and put some water on everything.  And the smoke doesn't help the flight visibility at all.  If you fly over Texas, be careful.
