bonal Posted May 13, 2015 Report Posted May 13, 2015 My wife and I are planning to go but it will depend on the marine layer. Have not been to Salinas yet and always look forward to adding another destination. There will be lots to see did not RSP but don't care I just like all the airplane stuff. I agree might not be best trip for your wife's first air adventure I would recommend a nice B&B in the gold country. Quote

You are most welcome to attend The Mooney Flyer event in Paso Robles on June 12-14! Lots of Mooneys, Mooniacs & Mooney International and top MSCs! http://themooneyflyer.com/summit2015.html Phil Quote

ShermAv8tor Posted May 24, 2015 Author Report Posted May 24, 2015 Well I finally took my wife on her first flight and it was the 16th to Auburn (since AOPA flyin weather was not favorable) anyway the restaurant was great and we happened upon the city unveiling a bronze statue in honor of WWII triple ace local veteran Bud Anderson! WWII vintage planes and vendors setup, It was very nice! Funniest thing she said asked was "How do you know our altitude?" This was due to me reporting my position after takeoff due to a lot of activity in the pattern. & "who are you talking to? Nobody is answering you!" It was a lot of fun! Thinking about heading to Benton tomorrow for lunch! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 Quote
ShermAv8tor Posted May 24, 2015 Author Report Posted May 24, 2015 Oh and on another note…The Runway Cafe in Napa is open and it is awesome! Kinda high end atmosphere with the white table cloths and white linen napkins, but by far one of the best pastrami sandwiches I have had since visiting New York City!! If you get a chance j recommend you check it out! 19 bucks with tip for my sandwich and a water…so it's a $$$ price point, but again it's also Napa… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
helitim Posted May 24, 2015 Report Posted May 24, 2015 Sherman, On a slightly differently subject. We spent the day out here on the Delta on the jet skies. We have a place out here on the water and enjoy our weekend getaways. Tim Quote
