i'm bummed it's that time of year again, 1 whole week without my birdy. I'm thinking of adding a lasar speed mod or two this annual, other than the 201windshield( i'll never hurt my girl in this way) what is the best bang for the buck? I'm thinking this is the best order 1. cowl enclosure 2. flap hole cover, don't actually know the name of this one but there are large spaces for the flaps to move which have to be causing lots of drag 3. gap seals 4. long range tanks Lasar no longer makes the landing light cover for my plane, is it legal for me to fabricate one ? one other thing, my pc system is starting to go, seems there are times when the plane really wants to turn left. Is there Anyone that still works on the system? one other other thing, what brand of tires are you guys using? my nose wheel tire is on it's last leg.

Has anyone experienced clear AvGas? I took on some fuel this morning and as is my custom, I assisted while the line guy filled my tanks. I know it is uncommon to find water immediately after adding fuel but I always check anyway. The fuel I sumped was clear and the smell was a bit off as well. I verified the truck was placarded 100ll and checked my receipt which confirmed that I paid for 100ll. There is no way it was jetA by sight or smell and not mo gas either. This fuel had no color and the smell was less "sweet" than what I am accustomed to, more of an alcohol type odor. I discussed it with a Bo pilot that had just fueled and he didn't seem to be concerned. I couldn't find anything here or on Google so after watching the Bo depart, I felt it was safe to go too. My trip home was perfectly normal with no issues at all.

I was just looking at the fuel prices around Texas on ForeFlight and wondering who has seen the lowest prices, where they are, why, and whether anyone is taking advantage of them to get in more hours.
