  1. Data, data, data. Do a quick visual in the cylinder after a compression check, then lap the exhaust valve or pull the cylinder and replace the valve. Fly.
  2. Also do the exhaust valve guide check and wobble test as per the Lyc service instruction.
  3. Cracked exhaust valve guide. Symptoms started like that twice and eventually the valve guide failed. Both times when power was pulled back for descent and approach.You can fell the shudder in your butt before it lets loose.
  4. Just as a side note the pins in the connectors of the Century autopilot loosen and cause all sorts of intermittent problems.Tighten up the female ends before throwing money at it.
  5. Looking for M20J/K step. Damaged tube is okay as long as actual step is intact.

  7. I believe Lyc makes oversize bolts for this problem.
  8. Gear door numbers are 550099-001 and 002. Overlapping. They are really tough.
  9. Need nose gear doors and belly panels for J. Any out there ?
  10. Got any J parts? Like nose gear doors and bottom panels? Maybe a 2 blade Mac?

  13. Century autopilots have crappy little pin connections that loosen up and create all sorts of intermittant problems. Among these are lose of heading,loss of altitude control,uncommanded dives and climbs,up/down ocillations, etc. After a fix my III has been a solid worker.
