  1. Curious as to how many people own their Mooney straight up or are in a partnership?
  2. Appreciate all the input and sorted opinions. Amazing how this thread died for the past few weeks then took off again over the past 24 hours! This is my favorite website to check each day. Everyone's perspective makes it quite a learning experience.

  4. No, no, no.....I have complex time.....I have no Mooney time. I wanted to rent to get a feel for the plane. Sorry for the confusion.
  5. Anyone know of a flight school or other that will has a Mooney as part of its fleet? Eastern US is preferred.

  7. Thanks but I get an error message each time I try to sort by state.
  8. Maybe we can already do this, but if not how about a tool to search for members by state they are located in?
  9. That is great pricing. We pay between $4k - 6K for the annual on the Dakota. I always feel screwed. LOL.
  10. Is there a simple answer to this question....What are the key differences between the 231 and 252?
  11. Agreed on the icing comment Bennett. Thanks for your input and adding to the mix.
  12. Thanks for the comments Scott, I had read that as engine overhaul rather than top overhaul. Good catch!
  13. Saw this online........http://www.trade-a-plane.com/listing?id=1388334
  14. Scott, it does not need to be non-stop as I find that we need to stop and stretch every 3 hours or so anyway. No schedule, these would be at our discretion. I am thinking we will need oxygen and possibly a FIKI system....although the latter is not a must. The plane would be for the two of us or occasionally a 3rd.
  15. Hello, as a new member to the site I was hoping to start a discussion on the best combination of speed and performance among Mooney models. I am interested in acquiring a plane that will allow me and my wife to travel from the Northeast (Boston) to some of our favorite places that are 700 - 1000 miles away. Currently fly a Piper Dakota that cruises at 135 and burns about 13gph. I have set a budget maximum of $150K.
