  1. The knob should have a hex head set screw or a slotted set screw. I have only seen those two types. You're not missing any parts simply put the set screw back and tighten. Kind of tricky to tighten with the recess that the knob goes into but very doable.
  2. I have priced interiors at both of these(and a few others) in the past myself. The difference between the two prices for these shops is that the Aero Comfort pricing includes all options such as the control wheel leather wrap, glareshield upholstery, and other items while the Las Cruces shop has a base price for the interior and you have to add on the other items as you go. Basically the $6500 price goes up considerably if you want to include the items that are included in the competing shop's interior package. My recommendation is to make sure that you look at the quality, materials, and design options and compare apples to apples before you choose any particular shop. Last but not least do what you are doing now which is ask the Mooneyspace team about their experiences with any of these shops.
  3. Hopefully it will work...but if it is anything like the parts orders that they are taking now, I doubt it. I ordered a pair of parts for my articulating seats. They kept telling me 6-8 weeks out every time I would call. It had been more than 8 months so I eventually cancelled the order and had to source them elsewhere. If they cannot build it in a timely fashion they should say something up front or not take the order at all.
  4. You may want to try Aero Comfort in San Antonio, Tx. http://www.aerocomfort.com/index/mooney/ I know that they were working closely with Mooney with the retrofit interiors up until Mooney shutdown again.
  5. Lowbid I sent you a message on these. Check your PMs.
  6. I am in need of a Mooney 205 or just the 205 logo in the original lettering style. Does anyone have an electronic file/version that they can make available? Thanks to all in advance
  7. Congrats...those look great. You will surely enjoy the feel.
  8. It depends on whether you want a real leather wrap or a partial. The picture of the "wrapped" yokes above is leather covered only on the center of the yokes. More than likely because they could not work around the yoke to install the covering without removing the yoke. So if you do not want the grips covered(which is the part you actually touch) you may have to remove them. As far as painting...well it is also less expensive to leave them as they are as opposed to painting but that was not the question now was it.
