  1. Got one in front of you who wants it. If it doesn't work out, I'll let you know and you'll be next!
  2. SOLD! I am selling a copy of the Boots on the Ground DVD. I watched it once and it's been on the shelf ever since. I paid $50 for it and am asking $30 and I'll ship it to you for free! Thanks!
  3. Thanks everybody! Yes, the bird has finally been sold. She ended up getting a WAAS 430 put in her before she got sold. Jeff is super nice guy and it makes me happy the plane went to him. I'll definitely keep checking in on the forums. I'll never lose my love for Mooneys. And yes, I really don't have much desire to fly all the time for fun since I do it all the time for work. I still love flying GA, but right now can't fly it enough to justify the costs of ownership. I tell you that it was an excellent investment for training. I don't know why more people don't buy an airplane and train in it. Beats spending lots of $$$ on rentals.
  4. Another option is to talk to Donnie Underwood. He instructs out of Smyrna and has tons of Mooney time. I got my instrument and commercial with him in the Mooney and he taught me quite a few tricks that made flying it easier.
  5. LOL! I think it's funny how you think I sell so much. Seems like there's some guys on here always wheeln' and deeln' much bigger stuff. At any rate, I've only scratched the surface of aviation stuff I've accumulated!
  6. I am selling a used copy of The Garmin GNS 430 - A Pilot-friendly Manual by John Dittmer. It's a great book/manual and will really teach you how to fly with the 430. It does show some wear. More info and pics are below. $25 plus a couple of dollars for shipping. This Pilot-friendly Garmin GNS 430 manual concentrates on a task-oriented format to cover all GPS operations. The GNS 430 is probably the most popular GPS receiver in aviation and is frequently paired with a GNS 530. The Table of Contents lists all operations. Find the operation that interestes you, go to the appropriate page and view the step-by-step instructions from beginning to end. Get up and running FAST! The manufacturer's manual contains the official recommendations and is an excellent reference. This is designed to be used in conjunction with the unit in the aircraft or a docking station from Lone Star Aviation, or Garmin's free downloadable trainer on your computer at home. This combination will safely lower your learning curve without the noise and distractions that accompany flying. It also is valuable as a takealong tool in the cockpit for a quick reference as needed. The Appendix's provide descriptions for all pages. Written for pilots by a CFI with over 40 years of experience who is ATP rated in both airplanes and helicopters. He also is an accomplished Flight, Simulator and Ground Instructor.
  7. Hi guys. I am selling a 2 disk bluray set of The Flightline tv show. It's got season's 1 and 2. It's a really great program, similar to The Aviators. I'm asking $20 plus shipping. I think I paid around $40 for it.
  8. Yep, sure am! I've flown almost 600 hours since March and have been loving it. Been a lifestyle change from making WAY less money, but I get to fly for work and I absolutely LOVE it! It makes me love GA flying even more too. I say if anybody is wondering about biting the bullet and getting into aviation as a career, just go for it.
  9. You have no idea how much stuff I've acquired over the past few years! LOL
  10. I am selling my Drift HD170 high definition camera. It's been a great camera and I've taken a ton of really great footage on it over the past couple of years. I just haven't been using it anymore and I figure I would sell it. As you can see in the pics, it comes with everything that was originally in the box as well as quite a few following extras: Camera and all cables regular battery high capacity battery 16GB Memory card suction cup mount external audio adapter cable and mic carrying case remote control a few other small mounts I really don't know what to ask. I'm thinking $160 shipped. For an example of some videos I took with this exact camera, check out the video below. Some of the shots in that video were shot with an iPhone, but everything else with the Drift. http://vimeo.com/84920019
  11. I use this mount: http://www.sportys.com/PilotShop/product/17843It works and fits the airplane perfectly. It's a little pricey just for some plastic, but well worth it. Thanks so much for the kind words! What you say is very true though. We are by no means well to do and by all means, completely middle class. Some of my family and friends act like flying is just a rich man's hobby and that the average person can't do it or that you have to be rich to own an airplane. Far from it! And it's true... that little inexpensive airplane has given us so much joy and created so many memories that my wife and I will never forget!
  12. Thanks so much everybody for the kind words! I'm really glad everybody has enjoyed watching it!
  13. I have for sale another spare pax headset that hasn't been used much. It's a Soft Comm C40-20 headset that comes with cloth ear cup covers. I'd like to get $75 shipped.
  14. I'm trying to sell some stuff that's sitting in the office collecting dust. I have a Flightcom 4DX headset for sale that I had for a spare pax headset. It's only been used 2 or 3 times. I don't have the box for it anymore. I'll throw in some cloth ear cup covers for it. Asking $55 shipped.
  15. I have a brand new, never worn pair of American Optics sunglasses. They are size 52 with gold frames with the bayonet temples. The bayonet temples are VERY comfortable with a headset. I know, because I've been wearing a pair for the past couple of years. I'm looking to get $40 plus $2-3 for shipping. Pics below.
  16. Hi Marc! Sorry, but it's been sold. I should have posted that in the thread.
  17. David Clark H10-13.4 A great headset that was used as a spare set for passengers. Ear seals are in good shape and there are no scrapes on the ear cups. The whole headset is in very good condition. $190 shipped
  18. I am selling some of the extra headsets that I've collected and I'm going to start with this one. It's a Bose X in very good condition. No large scuffs or scratches on it. The ear seals are showing a little wear on the bottom of them, but are still in pretty good condition. Still works great! Comes with Bose case. I'm asking $480 shipped.
  19. Price changed to $380 shipped.
