  1. Here is mine 50 feet from my home.
  2. If you go to the vintage mooney group and go to the contact tab send them a e-mail and they will send you one. They might ask you to join the group but it does not cost anything to join, just go to one of the flyin,s. Our next fly out is to Furnace creek (death valley). Where are you located?
  3. Yes the vintage mooney group has a CD that I bought for $10.00 that has all the books for all of the mooney,s. and it also has all of the shop repair and parts books, just print them out.
  4. Has anyone here took a look at the IFLY-700 its a gps that uses reg charts and has a 7'' screen, also has all of the low level ifr charts and airport info upddates are $69.00 per year. The unit sell for $499.00 loaded with all the current Charts. Might be worth looking at.
  5. I live on 27az eagleroost airpark and there are probably 35-40 r&m steel hangers they are a good product. I have a Bunger steel building 50'x60' built in Phoenix Arizona almost same product only reason I bought from them is that they were local I would put out bid to both of these companys.
  6. I thought a pilot could do simple mait. such as oil changes brakes etc. If that was the case I would find another place for my plane.
  7. No I was just saying that I had a problem with my gear that one time. On a aircraft of that vintage it should be expected. I would still own the 69E if I would have had a place to hangar it at he time, but out here in AZ the sun will very quickly destroy anything rubber or plastic and I don't like parking my aircraft outside. So I sold the aircraft not knowing that one day I would be living on a res airpark. When the opportunity came up I built my home on 27AZ and again was looking for a mooney to fly. I had not flown a mooney with man gear so one of the pilots on eagleroost took me out and let me fly his plane a 1963C . I had a fear that i would not be able to work the gear but after a few gear swings no problem. Also i am sure there have been a number of gear up's with man gear or main gear folding because people did't have them locked in.
  8. I use to own a 69E and had problems with my electric gear, It got my wifes attention when it did't come down on a landing here in AZ. I told her no problem I'll have to hand crank it down, I ask her to take the plane I popped the circuit breaker and put the gear down made a very soft landing. I now own a 65-66E and really like the Man gear and flaps.
  9. Thank you I thought I had read that some where but was not sure. good info I will ues the engine hoist to do my retract test.
  10. That is what the book said but In later years I think that was changed to holding down the tail. I could be wrong. Maybe someone in the group knows for sure.
  11. I need to do a retract test on my 1965 E does anyone have any idea of the apx weight I need to hold the tail down to jack up the main landing gear?
  12. The west will take Mississippi unless there is a higher bidder.
  13. I have one that a friend made for me so I could pull my plane out to the taxiway, my driveway is stone and i did't want to start it in the stones so I had him make one that I could pull with my yard tractor( I know about the turning radius) This tow bar will not slip out if you like I will send photo's it't pretty clever.
  14. On my mooney the person I bought from had made a new panel and I like it much more than the old style that was in the plane it seem to have more room. I would have done it a little different but I will move things around as I upgrade equip. You can see the panel on my photo page.
  15. Well that does not suprise me my ser#853 so I must have a 1966 mod Thanks for the quick response I don't think I will change anything with the state it will only confuse them.
