  1. I am going...arriving on Friday. I hope a few more make it to get the 'world record'...
  2. I confirm Craig's experience, and add that mine was painted with gear removed, gear painted. Lube does get removed in the strip process, and my mechanic came out to the shop for inspection (rigging) and greased her. Don't forget the new W&B. For an older model like mine, all that work really does pay off.
  3. These items (ELT and Battery) are also in the rear fuselage, accessed by the big square hatch. Plus I have a flip door in front of the battery for a jump start when I haven't flown in a while...this is a 61 M20B
  4. Hi Amelia! I think we are the only two females here, so far anyway! So, Welcome! and post pictures in the gallery of your airplane. I read more than I post, and learn a lot from these guys...it's a great site for the Mooney Drivers. Happy flying!
  5. What a beautiful sight - Great Pictures! It sure does look like you were having a great time!
  6. Got it! Thanks so much!

  11. I really enjoy viewing all the posted pics, but it looks like I am unable to upload. The 'browse' feature never surfaces...I'll check back soon on any new developments.
  12. I just had my Mooney painted and I will ask the boys at the paint shop and at the mechanics what they looked for to keep me flying right. I know that the hardware was removed, and it was scrutinized for replacement (at paint) and when I returned to my mechanic. Hope this gets worked out. It is like flying a brand new airplane. I feel your pain.
  13. I own an awesome 1961 M20B, based in CA. I have flown her from CA to NY, twice. I have a RayJay Turbo Normalizer, LASAR ignition, manual gear/flaps and brand new paint and interior. I am instrument rated. I work in public service, and I can't believe it sometimes that I actually defy gravity with my beautiful wings! My goal is to participate in the Mooney Caravan in 09. My dream would be to work in avaition, get paid to fly. Thanks for this website! ~ Lori-anne.
