One less Mooney in the world Kudos to the pilot! I always love to hear of successful water landings being a Hawaii pilot that spends 80% of my flights over water and at least 30-40% of that out of glide distance from land. I always figured I have 4 things going for me: a) My aircraft has retracts and leaving the gear up really seems to improve odds in water landings Hawaiian waters are very warm, generally 76-80 degrees, I should be able to bob around out there for 10+ hours without fear of hypothermia c) I am always on a flight following when crossing water, so ATC knows where I am ditching d) I have a 406Mhz ELT in the aircraft and 2 personal handheld GPS enabled 406Mhz ELTs that are waterproof and float The only part that could go wrong is sharks of course...but I have spent a lot of time in the water here swimming and diving, so I don't really fear them.

Ever since removing the old King radio gear and replacing it with Garmin goodies my panel seems to have a lot of open real estate. I have enough room left for an EDM930 and probably enough left after that for a GMX200. All I have in that void now is a handy v-speed reference card and my carbon monoxide detector thingy...

It is with great glee I present you guys the user galleries at MooneySpace.com! Just click "Photo Galleries" from the very top menu to get started. You will see that I have already created my gallery and organized some photos in there. Once there just click the button that says "Create Your Gallery!" to get started. From there you can upload photos, create folders (and folders inside folders) to better organize your stuff. Currently the uploader requires you have Flash player installed (99% of Internet users have this already so it should not be a problem), however I hope to have a non-flash upload page at some point for those having technical troubles.
