  1. Did you get your asking price? Looked like a great machine!
  2. Could you send a picture of the entire cockpit panel. Thank you.
  3. John: I have a nearly new Ovation cover from Bruce's If you are interested give me a call. I have no need for now. 423-322-3971
  4. John: We discovered landing at half flaps takes away any porpoise tendencies, have your instructor teach you that technic, it adds @ 4 knots to landing speed. We never land with full flaps anymore. Congrats on an awesome airplane. If you ever want to sell I am looking for another Ovation!
  5. Land with half flaps, great attitude and just a couple knots faster, NO Porpoise what so ever. Will never land with full flaps again!
  6. Ovation in annual and landing lights not working. Found burnt wire (Lndg lite) and circuit breaker did not open. anyone ever have issues with the landing/taxi light switch or wiring? Surprised the breaker didn't pop!
  7. Thank you, I will check the cannon plug and vane.
  8. When I turned on the master, the stall warning is coming on over the speaker. Anyone ever have this issue? Thanks!
  9. Thank you for the info! I like to treat my airframe gentle so I will use 110. We do all our Landings with only one notch of Flaps, it has eliminated the possibility of porpoising.
  10. What speed do you deploy first notch of Flaps? 10 degrees. I have been using 110knot as a limit (White Arc). Thanks!
  11. I had a guy tell me he had four people, but I think Three is max for me. Thanks for the info!
  12. I need ideas on how to travel in a Ovation with four sets of golf clubs? Do you take the clubs out the bags and slide them between the rear seats?
  13. Carlos Gann, Gann Aviation is performing the overhaul. (Builds great engines). I considered. the upgrade, but not worth the investment when I already have plenty of power to go anywhere I need to. I think the STC was about $7,500. We have had supply chain issues with getting the crank case back, 4 months! hopefully on the way and will be installed in a couple of weeks in time for spring!
  14. Thank you Steven, always love a big O
  15. I just bought into a 99 Ovation with 1450 hours. We are overhauling engine now, added an Aspen1000 with Terrain. What next steps would you plan of going forward? Thanks!
  16. What is your asking price?
  17. We replaced a Sandail SN3308 with an Aspen unit. Is there value $ left to rebuilt the unit for resellers? Would it be worth $1,000 bucks? Thanks!
  18. We bought a 1999 Ovation plan to keep it Cha. Looking for a third partner. It is getting an engine overhaul presently. We also are on waiting list for hanger. Hopefully Dallas Bay will reopen and it can live there. Feel free to call 423-322-3971
  19. Thank you for the correction. it's just an overhaul.
  20. We purchased a 1999 Ovation this summer 1440 total time. I felt it would need a new engine because TBO is 2000 or 20 years. I had a borescope done and he did not like what he saw, also three cylinders were low. My partner wanted to do a top but after going in for the Annual the Mechanic found corrosion on the Cam Lodes and that requires an overhaul. The Factory reman is $41,000 at Gann Aviation in Lafayette Ga. He is renown for his engine builds. Our aircraft with the new reman should have a value of $250,000. we have Aspen 1000, Garmin 430. King Auotpilot, O2. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions. Continentals are know to corrode if they sit around.
  21. I bought into 2000 Ovation and wanted an overhaul 1450 hrs because the plane sat for extended periods of time. Continental engines do not last when sitting around, they create moisture if not flown regularly. When they cracked the case the cam lodes were in really bad shape and that alone helped to make the overhaul decision.
  22. We were flying the Ovation in/out of 3000ft. best be on your number or the end comes at you in a hurry!
