  1. How can you tell if a patch will be sufficient versus a reseal? We're going to have the plane painted and we want to do the tanks before the paint. If we patch and it starts to leak it will mess up the paint (so I'm told).
  2. Looks like it's time to reseal the tanks on our Bravo. So far we've heard about Wet Wingologists and Weep No More. Any one know of something on the West Coast that does a good job? Thanks! Henry H. N355RZ@KPAE (Paine Fielld, Everett, WA)
  3. rbp wrote: so you can’t find the manual and you can’t find the person who sent it do you know where your airplane is??? That was going to be my next question.
  4. Here's the sign up list: https://tinyurl.com/2s4jmwhb Signing up does not commit you to anything, it just helps up plan events and if there are sponsors, how much of what to order. Reservicng your hotel room doesn't commit you either. That can be cancelled without penalty up to a day or so before the event. Last year because of weather folks cancelled on the day of arrival and were not charged. Saturday evening there will be a raffle on the Sun Patio at the Whitman hotel. Bring an aviation related item (or a bottle of wine) to donate to the raffle. Last year that was a fun event and Igor U won the portable in aircraft cooling unit that was kindly donated. If you have a conncection at any of the WW wineries that would be willing to do something special for our group, please let me know. So far special events are planned at Caprio Cellars and Patterson Cellars. If anyone has connections at the Mooney factory or from Mooney sales and can find out if there's interest in sponsoring by either throwing some money at an eating/drinking event or just sending some Mooney swag (like an unsold Acclaim which I plan on winning), please contact them. You can be the interface or they can contact me at: aeroncadoc@comcast.net Hope to see old and new Mooney friends. Henry Hochberg, N355RZ@KPAE (which should be out of the shop by August)
  5. Fascinating thread and enjoyable to read, especially the informed and humorus responses. As an AME myself, and previously in practice for 30 years, had I been in practice during Covid, I would have strongly recommended my patients to get the vaccine. even the ones whom I supported in not getting vaccines such as Shingrix , Hepatits or HPV or even the influenza vaccine. I never saw death rates in almost all ages like I saw with Covid and would have encouraged patients to do everything they could to avoid getting the disease. WRT the FAA guideline change, agencies like the FAA seem incapable of being organized enough or manipulated enough to be involved in conspiracies. The word incompetence or bureaucratic sludge does come to mind though.
  6. Someone was kind enough to send me an electronic version of the maintenance manual, but I can't seem to locate that anymore nor can I find who was kind enough to forward that to me. Might I ask that you send it to me again. This time use: aeroncadoc@comcast.net if you can. That's the best contact for me. Thanks so much. Henry H N355RZ@KPAE
  7. thanks for the suggestion. Not sure how to get a picture to my Avatar. I was able to load a cover picture but that's about it as far as I can manage. Instructions always welcome.
  8. OMG. It's you Shawn. I didn't put 2 and 2 together. Great to have you join the PAE Mooney club. If you get your plane up here in the next month or so I do know of a hangar that will be open for another month or so until the owner gets his TTX back from engine work. Clearly, you were smart and got a 252 instead of a Bravo! Let me know when your plane gets up here. We've redone the panel in the Bravo so it's even more redundant. Might give you ideas (pending family CFO approval) if you need panel work. Henry
  9. Greetings Spacers: I closed my family medical practice at the end of last year. I was going to practice overseas but Covid squashed those plans. So, I'm just going to do FAA medicals until I've gone west, (and maybe even after that if I can figure out a way!). I'm based in the Seattle area (Edmonds, wa to be exact) but I'm willing to do exams when I'm visitng friends and relatives in other locations. If a gaggle of you get together and want to do a medical day I can fly into your airport and knock out a bunch. It'll probably cover the cost of fuel! At any rate, if you are so moved to have me poke and prod, give a call or email. Henry Hochberg, M.D. N355RZ@KPAE Appointments: 425-686-2510 Email: FAADrHochberg@gmail.com
  10. Howdy Shawn: Welcome! Where will you be based in the PNW? I'd be happy to right seat for you when you get your plane up here. I have about 1200+ hours in the 252 Encore conversion model (N252MK and N52202). Was really sorry when my partners wouldn't do the engine overhaul and opted to go for a Bravo. That's what I fly now out of Paine (N355RZ). You won't be sorry with the 252. The best of all Mooneys I must admit. You can contact me here or at: aeroncadoc at comcast.net (but use that little @ thingy) Henry Hochberg
  11. Now that is a very tempting offer. A Bonanza. Friend of mine who has done long over water legs (Alaska to Hawaii for example) said he’d help me plan the trip if I took my Bravo. I entertained that but I have two partners who think otherwise. However the thought of finding you a rocket and ferrying it over there for you is a really enticing thought. Shall we scheme together?
  12. This might be a duplicate post but I can’t find the original. At any rate I will be working in New Zealand for 9 months starting in September this year. Are there any Mooneyspacers who live or work in NZ? Can anyone tell me about Pilot licensing in NZ? Feel free to send email to: aeroncadoc@comcast.net Henry Hochberg N355RZ@KPAE M20M
  13. Greetings spacers: i will be working in New Zealand for nine months starting in September this year. Anyone on Mooneyspace live or work there?
