I had a new key switch (from bendix to ACS) installed last July so maybe something is shorting. We will definitely check that as well. Thank you.

@pilot_jb I'm having similar issues you had. What did you end up doing to fix your issue? Mine is also on left mag.

Tom What a awesome flight up in the Lancair. I was all smiles because I was taking it all in and loving it. Next time I come up it’s lunch on me. Had to dodge that rain cell on the way home. Only got a few sprinkles on me. Then a smooth flight home.

Planning almost similar flight to GPI or S27 in Jan 2020 from WI in M20C so this has been helpful. Have a friend at S25 I can fly to on day one in afternoon and then on to GPI next day. This will be my first mountain flight so I'm taking it all in. Thinking about asking a CFI at GPI or S27 to go flying with me one day in and around the area to teach me more about mountain flying.
