New wrinkle. I can get the breaker to reset. But when I add any throttle it pops. Any specific ideas. Different than the above? -

Yes, volts go from 14.2ish to 12.2ish while in cruise. -
Hello, Over my last flight I had my ALT LOW VOLTS Fuse that is in my battery bus section. I pushed it back in and all was good. It did it another time close my home airport, pushed it in again and all was good. I am at the airplane to see if I can figure it out and am having no luck. When all power is off I can push it in and it stays, but if I turn the battery master it pops and will not go back in. It’s a 2 breaker. I have a 2 year old new alt. When in flight it produces 14.2 volts regularly. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I am having the same problem. was using a quart every 5-6 hours. This weekend used 1.5 for a 3.5 hour flight and had cleaned a spot on belly prior to flight and it was covered back up. I had a cooler than #2 cylinder in the summer. Took it in machanic could not find anything. Suspected rings lined up. I asked because I was seeing more oil than normal on the ground after a flight. Oil my have went from 1qt every 6hr to 1 every 5ish. But now this is totally different. Have not had a chance to look at the plugs.(what is the torque spec for the spark plug after inspection?) CHT’s were normal during flight. Also something unrelated or could be related. About every few minutes I was getting a slight drop in RPMs like a slight reve down from 2475 to 2425 and then right back up to 2475. Have not had that happen before. It was consistent during the flight. Had a head wind of about 15-20 and then a tail wind of about 15-20.

Yes definitely from the vent tube. Do not believe they are chrome. exterior of all cylinders are clean. -

Will have to quadruple check but all oil is coming from vent line. -

No to everything basically. All trips are XC. oil temps got to 225 once or twice due to high outside temps. -
Hello, I have had my Mooney F for about 20 months and put 280 hours on it. Engine has about 1250 smoh. I just replaced the fuel servo and over the last 20 hours my oil consumption has went up. I normally had ran it on long trips 3-4 hours starting with 6.5qts. after stopping overnight I will have one or two drips from the vent tube and nothing under the belly. Since the fuel servo replacement I have noticed many more drips 10 or so on the floor after stopping and the area going back from the vent tube is showing signs of oil and dirt. firewall and other engine areas are clean. I am using more oil 3/4ish more oil per 10 hours. I have bumped it down to 6 qts. per 2 hour trip and still seeing the same thing. Can anyone provide any insight on how this could be right after the fuel servo replacement. Any tips to change this?

Hello, Today I flew for the first time at 16,500. Normally I fly at 12,500/11,500. CHT temp on number two was lower then normal. 16,500 80 ROP 0 Celsius OAT Is this normal or am I over thinking since #2 normally runs cooler.

Hello, I currently have a JPI 730 with all the bells and whistles, but I would like to add the RPM and Manifold pressure here at some point. I believe I have to upgrade to the 830. Is that correct, and if so besides adding the RPM and Man. How complicated would this upgrade be?

Thank you for the reminder to complete research prior to putting anything online. Knowing that tank reseal jobs are quite expensive I assumed that materials would be. After posting, I did some looking with the advise of others and was pleasantly surprised to see the cost. Thank you for the info for skygeek and the difference on sealants. -

Hello, I have a small leak that has gotten worse over the last year on the top of my wing. It’s near the inspection cover plate on the wing walk at the door. The spot/leak is coming from just beside that closer to the door. Under 25 gallons it doesn’t leak/seep but when I fill up to starts. I fly all cross country and not filling up is not an option. Does anyone have a small about of sealant to touch up that spot? -
Yeah I haven’t purchased either yet so I will go with garmin and buy the garmin card reader.

Hello all, I am new to updating a GPS and looking for some help. (Garmin 530wass) Plane didn’t come with a card reader so I’m guessing just the blue jeppesen reader will work for both? Then just the two subscriptions/ download and install? Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello, I got some bad news today. One of the engine mount frame tubes has a crack in it. Is there anyway to weld or replace without having to pull the engine.

Hello, My bellow on my vacuum step just failed. I believe I can send into brittian and get replaced and put back on the system. Other options would be to go electric. I have duel G5’s and my understanding is that I could remove my vacuum system completely if I so choose.?.? My AP is a STEC 60 Is this correct? If so I would remove lol vacuum system and then just install the electric step. Thanks for the help in advance
