  1. Hello everyone, Looking for suggestions/advice based on everyone’s experience. I have flown 100 hours since the annual in March. Looking to see what everyone has done in the past in the same circumstance. I have no known squaks. Do you do a full annual or just hit the 100 hour items that are key? Thanks in advance.
  2. Hello, I have a powerflow exhaust on my 67F. The baffle came loose from it’s weld and is out of the muffler currently. What is people’s experience with re-welding it back to the muffler? Certified shop, any weld shop, left removed and flew without?
  3. Hello all, I have looked at the oxygen regulations and am I have question. Can someone tell me the difference between buying the $1,000 plus aviation oxygen system or going to a EMS store and buying the cylinder regular and nasal cannulas. All are exact and within policy for a fraction of the price? I know I would have to purchase av oxygen on the field and not medical oxygen. Am I missing something?
  4. Hello everyone, I am sorry for asking this question, but I have conflicting information. What I always believed/ understood was that the F model 1967 had 2.5gal of unusable fuel. With a 64 gallon fuel capacity. I just purchased my new to me Mooney and when reading the POH it said it has 64 gallons of useable fuel. In no other place in the POH does it have any other number besides 64 gallons. So is the fuel capacity 64 and can use it all? Does it have 66.5 gal capacity and can use 64 gal? Or is it really 64 capacity and you really can use 61.5? I’m sorry for asking, I just want to know for planning and safety margin.
  5. I pick up my new to me F from Maxwells next week. In a few weeks I would be interested. I’m at KPGA.

  7. I have dual G5 and 530w.
  8. I am open to all options. I passed on my sentry when I sold my last plane. It was super easy to work with and very cost effective. If a fully installed option that was reasonably priced would be nice.
  9. I have a Garmin 330es transponder on my new plane. I am looking at option for adsb in options. The easy option would be to purchase the 345 of course. Is there a option to connect a gdl 52 or something similar to the 330 and have the Bluetooth to connect the adsb in?
  10. They said they would rerate. I provide my current hours and they would move the price if I hear if I pass certain hour number. I do not know what those are.
  11. Avemco has that option.
  12. Thank you all. For quick reference. My plane is to fly the pants off the plane to get to 500 as quick as I can to and add instrument and commercial. I was suggested to pay quarterly and keep telling what my current hours were because obviously the more hours I gain the lower the premium will be.

  18. Thank you all for the information. My mission is a combination of long XC (5-6 times a year) and regional flying. I want to get my instrument and commercial license in the plane as well. I’m looking to build my time over the next few years to be over 500 hr and be electable to some local job opportunities. This is to steer my career in a different direction for long term jobs.
  19. Hello, I am a low time pilot (250 hours), but I have multiple cross country flights from coast to coast. I have owned and flown a Cessna 150 since 0 hour of flight training. Im looking to get into a M20 C,E,orF I have been doing the research and know the differences of carb and injected, the leg room and fuel capacity between the three. What I’m looking for is opinions and suggestions on what to step into next. Budget is around 50k.
  20. Thank you all for the information.
  21. Hello all, I’m looking to purchase a Mooney M20E. The owner states the plane has all logs and no damage. The owner provided me with all logs. On page one it says “logs lost”. The plane is a 1965 and the logs start in 1973. It also says a tail number change. Searching that number it shows significant damage on the 337 in 1973. The plane has flown and passed annuals from different shops every year since 1974. The owner has the plane priced reasonably all things considered minus the logs are not complete and significant damage reported on the 337. It appears the plane has been repaired to as new condition. My question is what would be a % depreciation of a plane with he logs missing and significant damage.
