  1. I usually put 7quart of oil with new oil change, when it gets below 6 quarts I add 1 quart of oil, my oil consumption is 1 quart every 6 hrs, now my oil level at 5 shall I add oil before taking oil analysis sample or I can send it without adding make-up oil???
  2. It was very nice fly-in, so happy to meet other Mooniacs on my favorite airport.
  3. Dear Jhon Thank you for your comment, can you explain what's wrong you see here, my mechanic inspected all cables and said everything looking fine, I told him I want to replace the old cables he said I can do that but it's looking good so far and airworthy. Kindly let me know if I'm missing anything here, If so I can bring that to his attention or find another mechanic to look at it. Thank you very much in advance for your help! Moustafa Janat
  4. Final update today we re-adjust the position of the clamp and it did just like it originally was without adjusting the microswitch, I have put the throttle, mixture and prop cables on my to-do-list for next annual while the airplane. Thank you guys for the help MOUSTAFA JANAT
  5. Yes the rubber seal is now in place and the clamp also in place the only issue now it that throttle knob doesn't go all the way in and gear horn is going off at 19", I can get used to the throttle knob position but we need to adjust the gear horn switch position.
  6. Service manual says use MS21919-DG5, also here's a picture for that fuel line without sleeve.
  7. My mechanic is looking into that today, we found the clamp rubber broken, will replace with MS21919-DG5 as in the service manual, I have a question about this part of the throttle cable, is it supposed to be like that or this sleeve is broken (I mean it looks it have an angle with the sleeve not straight) ?
  8. My mechanich is looking at it right now, he found the nut at the panel lose, but that wasn't the main issue, he said the cable looked like it stretched and he's think the sleeve clamp is lose too.
  9. Hello Mooniacs Today I was flying, everything was normal, when I started my descend I pulled the throttle to 22" of MP as I usually do on descend, and I slowly started to pull the throttle out as I was getting close to the airport, when I get the MP to show 20" my landing gear horn went off (this usually happen at 12"), and I noticed that my throttle cable was a little bit out more than usually for that power settings, I slowed down and put the landing gear down, on short final I noticed that my throttle cable is longer than usual but everything was fine and I landed with no issue. I took a picture for the throttle canble and the marked part doesn't seem to be familiar to me (this part used to be inside the panel), What could be the issue? I'll have my mechanic look at it next week. Thank you in advance for your guidance and thoughts. MOUSTAFA JANAT
  10. 135 mph in the airspeed indicator is what I usually get on my 68 m20c, it's around 165 mph when correcting to altitude/temp, performance in the poh is measured in TAS, not IAS, check your GS and you'll see you're doing much faster than 135mph,if the airplane can't achieve speed in the poh then it might be engine not producing enough power and cylender compressions has nothing to do with engine health, I'd recomend like what other Moonics said to get a transition training in your new airplane.
  11. Roger, I'll call Don Maxwell and order the parts, thanks for sharing information. Regards
  12. I really appreciate it, I'll double check today, much much appreciated!!
  13. Do you mean this crack, my airplane just got an annual last month
  14. So that part came from my alternator, I was about to replace my Voltage regulator when I saw this screw came off alternator bracket making the alternator wriggling and not producing enough power to charge the battery. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  15. I found this screw and nut as well on the other side
  16. Hello Mooniacs I was checking my engine compartment today and I found this part, I don't know where it did come from. I appreciate your inputs Moustafa
  17. My fuel pressure gauge shows wrong readout, when starting the engine with fuel pump on it only moves a little bit, then during flight it was stuck at max limit, when I landed I put the fuel selector on off and the engine shut down while it was still showing Max as in the picture. 1968 M20c Part no. 660012-001 If that part needs to be replaced where I can get it from?
  18. One of the best equipped M20C I've ever seen, if you're gonna buy another basic airplane for $40k and bring it to this condition it'll cost you another $40-60k, if your prebuy goes well fly it right away. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  19. This is the Potentiometer hole, use screwdriver to re-adjust it Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  20. Check this link for troubleshooting https://alcorinc.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/EGT-Trouble-Shooting-Guide-Rev-2011.pdf ALCOR EGT SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Looks like you need to readjust potentiometer, EGT readout value is relative only and doesn't have any meaning. 21. Thanks for your response, Can you share the part number or picture or link?
  22. Hello Mooniacs I'm looking for Bendix Ignition Switch Knurled Nut as shown in the picture (no.18) Part no.10-81397 , if anyone have that part or if you know how I can get it please let me know, Thanks in advance and stay safe everyone!! Moustafa Janat
  23. I believe in this case I'd leave the 15w50 multi graded, here in Socal we usually don't get that cold below freezing, flying your airplane regularly is what matters the most for your engine, do your oil changes every 50hrs(max) or 4 months to keep moisture and acid away from your oil, using Camguard is great specially if you don't fly much. 24. I had the same issue in my airplane and I was able to correct it with PBB475 compensator ("balanced balls"), now it's very accurate up to +/-2° in all directions. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
