Six Pack Aero Custom cut and powder coated panel. Purchased in 2023 during panel upgrade, but after initial fit check I elected to go with a flush panel. Installed once for fit check, but that was it Custom panel layout as follows: Pilot Side - G3X Cutout - G5 cutout - Smart Glide button cutout - Gear Light Cutout - Low Volt cutout - Backup Enable cutout - Master Switch cutout - Ignition cutout - Avionics Master cutout - LEMO Plug cutout - Tail Number is engraved but should be able to cover or possibly have it engraved over. MooneySpace, I upgraded my panel to a G3X touch with EIS. This allowed me to remove the EDM-830. I always upload my engine data to Savvy, but I can’t figure out how. I have an STEC 60-2 with electric trim that was removed from a 67 M20F (GFC-500) upgrade in September. All brackets and mounts are included except for the roll servo bracket since it was too much work to remove. The servos were overhauled in 2017 and I have the logbook entry and original STC still. Nice. I was looking at switching to a 345R for panel space but wasn’t sure I wanted to spend the extra money for something truly not needed.

My 67F is in for the panel upgrade. I am installing a G3X touch, 650xi, and a GFC-500! I have a KX-155 that I was planning to retain as a standby Comm/Nav with CDI, but I am considering other options One is a GTR-20 for comm only. Has anyone gone down to single nav when upgrading their panel? I am not aware of a remote nav for the G3X. Any inputs from people who finished similar panel setups is welcome! Just curious how many hours does install typically run? And does it require an STC or field approval?

I agree. Ideally I’d place it in the stack above the throttles. The shop said the audio panel, gfc-500, 650xi, and the Aera 660 would not fit in the center stack. I’m am curious what other people have done.

I had not thought of that. If the Aera is aligned next to the G5s then where does the altimeter and VVI move to. Pretty sure they are still required equipment with the G5s

I have a 67 M20F with a 430W, panel mounted Aera 660, Dual G-5s, STEC 60-2, and a EDM-830. I am planning to upgrade the GPS and autopilot. I am planning a GFC-500 paired with either a: - Used GTN-750 (the shop has on a yellow tag) - New GTN-650xi Any inputs on the 650xi versus 750? The shop stated that whether I go with a 750 or 650xi that the GFC-500 will not fit in the stack so they recommend putting it in the bottom right corner of the pilot panel. Thoughts on panel layout? The shop provided the last picture as a reference if I go with the 750. I am not sure I am a fan of breaking up the 6-pack…it would work great with a single 10.6” G3X though. Has anyone completed a similar upgrade and where were they able to place the GFC-500 controller? Thanks!
