Yes sir, she’s been a busy girl over the weekend! Kerry, Ireland return trip (just under 4.5hr) & local flight around Oxford & Greater London (2hr). She’s now £225ph wet & insured @ EGLK, pretty booked up for the rest of the month but lots of availability in October.

We used ‘Citroen rouge’, jet black and metallic titanium silver combination inspired by the 2cv I saw parked on the high street. I think it’s come out alright! Extremely happy with the workmanship of the shop, I’m interested to see how the fake boots on the leading edges come out.

Paint shop are aware we are are using the wrong vectors but they don’t seem too bothered. Think I’m going to go with the last option, Titanium Silver, Black(solid) ‘eyeliner’ & Rouge (Solid) under carriage with fake boots going up the leading edges of the wings all covered in a clear coat. Completion 2 weeks, photos to follow!

If anyone could share the vectors drawing for the 231 I’ll pass them onto the paint shop. Not to be dismissive but don't want the chef to spit in my soup...They are a very professional outfit so I am sure I will be happy with the final result! See below photos of the progress so far, absolutely nil rust or hidden surprises found so far, my engineers has been down to sign off whilst all the panels & flight controls were off. Great, if not surprising news considering she’s parked outside 365 days a year in sunny Blighty!

DecisionsDecisions! The AC is currently being stripped down at Airtime in Bournemouth, England. I really need to make a decisions so Terry can order the METAlLIC paint. I’m 99% sure on the silver base cost (Either Diamond Silver, Gun Metal Grey or Titanium Silver) but I’m not sure about the second colour (if any) and line work/ graphics. Note I have vintage red interior which I would quite like to keep ... As much as I love the blue option I think it may clash. I’m drawn to the Burgundy on silver or grey on silver with the black eye liner or a simple silver all over with black tail, gear doors, bonnet & cowling. personally I’m not so keen on modern graphics & lines but it seems to be more popular (thinking about resell value) Thanks for your opinions!
