Salvage yards with known Mooney parts
Gary Bymers replied to Jpravi8tor's topic in Vintage Mooneys (pre-J models)
Thanks for the notice. Just an FYI, I do not do this for a living. I have been involved in international business development for the last 30 years as my day job. I'm a reforming hoarder that is taking the advice of my son and wife to clean up the hangar. I still have quite a few parts that were accumulated because of projects I have done on M20As, M20Cs and now my M20J. I love talking about these airplanes and am happy to share my experiences whether you buy anything or not. I am not likely to always have part numbers. I know these airplanes inside and out. Contact me anytime. Gary 6o8334oo51 -
I have several nose gear parts for sale. Let me know if you need anything. Prices $200 - $450 except the puck holder truss, that’s $850 . All are OBO plus shipping or maybe trade. I do need an O-360 carb for an experimental Acro Sport II. Gary 6o8 334 oo51

Over the years I accumulated many spares for my 1962 M20C and am now selling those parts. My J is running well and I am mostly finished restoring it. I also restored a couple of airplanes. I obtained several front seats and had a couple of them redone for my projects, and then chose different colors or different approaches. So I have these two sets of front seats for sale. $1450 for the beige ones and $2100 for the saddle brown ones with headrests. I would prefer local pickup but can arrange shipping. I would also consider trades. These chromoly frame seats were used by Mooney from 1955 - about 1965 when they switched to an aluminum monocoque construction. I owned a 1962 M20C for 34 years and now have a 79 J. The seat track width is the same from the 1950s through the 90s at least. I like the chromoly seats better because they are more robust and do not flex as much as the aluminum models. I had these made for my J, but then decided not to change my complete interior to match this color, which is my favorite. These earlier seat had a back adjustment system, that I never liked in my C, so I have disabled that and fixed the seats so when pushed back, they stay in that position. They fold forward, but the position when pushed back stays in the most forward position which was always the most comfortable for me. I flew my C with these type of seats to Alaska several times and frequently had 4 hours legs, and they were always comfortable. If you have any questions call or message me at 6O8334OO51 Thanks Gary

More parts. I owned and M20C for 34 years, owned an M20A for 15 years (I had the C & A at the same time) and now have a 201 J. When I recently upgraded to a J, realized I have way too many spares that I don't need. Let me know what you are looking for, I may have it. Just call or text with questions - thanks Gary 6O8 334 OO51

I had 2 sets of rudder pedal boots made up recently, one in black and one in beige - $95 plus shipping for a set of 4. I also have many other M20A, B, C, E, F, G and a few M20J parts for sale. I have some yokes for sale as well. I owned and M20C for 34 years and when I recently upgraded to a J, realized I have many spares that I don't need. I had these made for my 201 thinking I would convert the complete interior over to this saddle brown color if I liked them, and I love them, but it's too complicated to convert everthing so I am going to have a different old set of seats redone to look like these in beige. I like the chromoly tube old seat better. Call with any questions Gary 608 334 0051
