  1. Lost medical - now in appeal position with FAA. Looking for a CFI at KDVT with 5 hours of M20C time in past 12 months to fly 2-4 hours a month to keep current and have some fun flying during this appeal process. CFI would be PIC and could be listed on my insurance during this period. A safety pilot would work as well with 300 hours, 25 hours retractable, 10 hours in make and model. I have 1800 hours(1500 in this plane) and have owned my Mooney since 2001. Plane is fresh back from annual and ready to be flown. Appreciate your assistance on this. Thank you, Mert Bean- 602-369-6410 - KDVT - hangar 3-2
  2. Great to hear. How much? How do I get in direct contact with you?
  3. Thank you for responding. This a high/low vacuum light system on the panel. Not related to the Britain System.
  4. Looking for a used Sigma-Tek vacuum switch for my steam gauge panel. Does anyone have one leftover after converting to a digital panel? Trying to line one up for to my upcoming annual in October. I am located at KDVT - Phoenix Let me know. Thank you -Mert - 602-369-6410
  5. Dave Munsey is an independent field I/A based at DVT. His contact information can be found on the City of Phoenix - DVT airport page as an approved vendor. Many Mooney pilots uses him for maintenance and pre-buys. I am based at DVT and have used him for the past 15 years on my Mooney. His availability may be limited as he is in high demand.
  6. Would you please provide more details on your pump. How many hours on the part. Has it ever been rebuilt? Why was it removed? Will it fit a 1965 M20 C? Thank you
  7. Thank you, I will check out the regulator. I do not have an alternator.
  8. Well the story continues.... the avionics shop advised me they found a new problem with the Terra panel. They found a used one in Texas. It was replaced and the plane was returned to service. I flew the plane back to my home airport. On the next flight, the buzzing sound returned, only when airborne .. I then returned back to the avionic shop, Now they indicate they found another problem with the 20 year PS intercom system. The found a used replacement that tested out. They installed and the problem seems fixed. Just flew a long flight to New Mexico and the radios worked fine, no buzzing. In the end, I had 3 visits over 2 months to the avionics shop located at another airport, repaired my king radio, replaced my Terra audio panel and replaced my PS intercom system. Quite a lot of labor time and money ($5K) was spent tracking the problem down and finally fixing it. Moral of the story, find a different avionics shop who will take a holistic approach versus a replace each component one at a time approach. I would have spent the money differently if I knew the PS intercom was the issue in the beginning.
  9. Thank you to all for your responses. I will pass this info along to my avionics shop for guidance! Mert
  10. I have a loud buzz in headsets on both radios when transmitting while engine is running and on ground. When airborne, no buzz but tower reports transmissions are weak and unreadable. All is quiet (no buzz) and both units seem to work when on ground and engine not running. Ground reports transmissions back as okay. The King 155 was just sent out to Mid Continent and returned "repaired" with new digital readout (expensive). Re installed and original problem remains. The other radio is a Narco 12D and works fine other than loud buzz in headset. Have Narco glideslope with DME readout. Also have Tierra audio panel and PS1000 intercom. Have a generator -no generator whine detected when running. The local repair facility wants to replace the Tierra audio panel and intercom hoping that problem will correct itself. Does not seem to want to troubleshoot the root problem. Any thoughts or guidance on this would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks for your input. Mert - KDVT
  11. Nevermind. I just noticed the SOLD in your comment banner. Thx
  12. Hi Glenn: I know this a longshot. Any chance you still have 22-1280-04 for sale? Mert
