  1. Good day folks. I'm having issues with my Century31 Autopilot. Keeps heading but up and down pitches with electrim "on". I took it down to Texas to a buddy of mine to look and see if the servos was faulty. Could not find any fualt. Also. The autopilot is not flying an approach. It pitch a 500' min down and capture a glidepath. Is there any buddy that has a spare unit that I can use to see if it the controller head. I know somewhere they said is to take it to the avionic shop where century factory is. Its not that easy for me to get there. I'm North of the border. Thank you

  9. Good day all.. Dont know if this is the right column but I need help/ info on Oshkosh. I've phoned mooney international for last 3weeks without any result or any one to phone me back. Left more than few messages for a call back. No luck. We are flying into KOSH on the Thursday( not part of the formation flying) I want to know if MAPA members can use the Mooney site to camp if we show up on Thursday? Any help will be great or on how I can get ahold of Mooney themselve. Thank you

  11. Thank you for the reply. The cowl open and close with a spring. When levelling and the plane gain speed. Its difficult to close the cowl. What we notice is. Is after awhile the lever pushes to the open position about 1/2inch causing the cowl to open. The only way to keep the cowl close inflight is to hold the lever in the close position. In the POH it says that there need to be some play on the cowl to open and close in cruise by itself( regulate airflow). I am not to familiar with that statement. Should I just try and get a better spring to keep it closed?
  12. New user. We just got a Mooney 231 M20K. When in cruise. Its difficult to close the cowl. On landing we inspected it and notice that the spring is too strong for the cowl. Did some reading and they say the cowl needs to be moveable inflight. Any light on this.
