  1. Dynon certified for me. I have been holding out upgrading the PFD and A/P for this. The Mooney A/P cert keeps delaying but I'm told it is due to FAA process. It seems to me is about half the Garmin cost and lower ownership cost.
  2. I assume you are not referring to GPSS functionality?
  3. Has anyone tried the Alphabeam? I read someone reporting it had the same spread as the whelen PAR36 with a longer throw. The issue is their documentation (PMA list) only lists the M20J. I sent the vendor an email and the answer was wrong the first time and confused the second. I was told the Aplhabeam is only available in PAR46 28V. I sent them the link from spruce showing a PAR36 to which they replied it was too small for the M20J (my question was regarding an M20E). So, has anyone used or know if it is possible to use an Alphabeam on a pre-J mooney?
  4. He's commitment to this product and to ensure I was satisfied is impressive.
  5. There is no extra space and Bruce clarified it for me. The tubular structure is in the way. I don't know if that is specific to the short bodies. Considering the cost, I'm happy with the result. Whether if worth it or not it all depends the condition of the interior you start with. The panels look nice and I expect an easier interior inspection on my next annual.
  6. I also have a Brittain and it works with my Trimble. Since my GPS is old, it could not do coupled approaches but a GTN solves that issue. An interface I believe is required (like http://icarusavionics.com).
  7. Some of the pictures belong to my 1967 M20E. The panels are designed for ease of installation by the owner and it includes templates to do so. It does require trimming. That said, I had Mr. Jaeger install mine and I don't know how much re-trimming is required after the first fit. It is not a whole interior remake. It is a number of panels and some of your existing plastics need to be reused. Let me know if there's any other questions. Carlos
