so I upgraded the landing light to the Prometheus Plus and love it. Here is my wingtip setup. Would the Whelen OR65001R, OR6501G, Position / Anti-Collision lights and a OR5001V Tail position / Anti Collision light be a suitable upgrade for my F? I love this site. Lots of great info. -
I used AOPA and found it to be a very painless experience. They arranged my policy through Global Aerospace for a very reasonable price.

I was going to hold off but may take advantage of this coupon when I get my engine monitor upgraded

I received this email today ANGLE OF ATTACK COUPON September 1, 2016 Clip and bring to your nearest Authorized Aspen Avionics dealer! Everyone realizes that loss of control (LOC) is the top culprit for loss of life in the general aviation community. As a matter of fact, it made the 2016 NTSB's Most Wanted List. Since its introduction in 2015, Aspen's Angle of Attack (AOA) has received one of the industry's most valued awards, Flying Magazine's Editors' Choice Award. Simply, it's a software only upgrade that requires no external sensors; you merely upload the software, plug in airspeed numbers specific to your airplane, go up for a quick calibration flight, and you're in business. Need proof that is works? Watch this video. This month, and this month only, Aspen Avionics is giving you a $500 coupon off list price for the AOA software. Bring this coupon to your authorized Aspen Avionics dealer to receive this one-time only offer. When comparing installation costs of a traditional AOA and ours, this is by far the greatest value that improves your flight safety. And nothing's more priceless than that. Click here to read what others are saying.... Coupon expires September 30, 2016. Still have questions? Contact us and select "Product Inquiry" from the drop down list.

EDM700 During flight. Any Red Flags?

Hmmm... sorry about that. I took the video with my iPhone and uploaded it on a MacBook Air. Is there a better way to attach a video? -

absolutely correct. I misspoke. Thanks! -
I took this while flying today. 8,500 feet MSL 22" and 2500RPM in my 75 F Model. Im new to Mooney's and the EDM700. The CHT looked higher on the #2 cylinder and the Oil temp was bouncing a bit. Does anything look troubling to any of you or is this a fairly normal presentation. 148989E7-E455-4926-8EF1-12FF62729F6F.MOV IMG_6523.MOV

I believe it is for both but there is also a hardware cost associated for the cable linking the GDL-88 to the Aspen in addition to the software unlock charge. I was quoted $300 for that.

Can you tell me which one you use? How does it connect to charge the battery?
-
I may be interested if you can send me a little bit of info on the airplane and what you are looking for as far as price and cost splitting. bjoseph604@gmail.com

Ok new question. If you guys are going to leave your airplane for a couple of weeks do you put your battery on a trickle charger? I don't have an external power connector on my F so taking the battery access panel off would be a PITA. any opinions or advice? thanks guys, Brian

Thats what Im talking about. Are you doing the install yourself or having someone else do it? When it comes to electrical/wiring I get a little nervous. -

Can you tell me which Whelen landing light specifically that you purchased? It seems like there are few choices and I, not sure which one would best fit my airplane. I could always call them but I like the info I get here. -
I would like to do an LED lighting upgrade to my 1975 Mooney M20F. Landing light, position lights, and recognition lights. I was wondering if anyone else has done this with Aero LED's and how difficult they are to install. Thanks! I have the single landing light on the cowl passenger side.

I seem to recall braking to make a turnoff not too long ago. I didn't realize it was so easy to lockup a tire! I have a feeling that's when it happened. The other tire still looks good but I wonder if I should just replace both mains at the same time and keep the older tire as a spare.

here are pics of the scoop. I cant move it from this position from the inside using the knobs or from the outside trying to lift or push down on the vent.

Yeah sorry! I updated my profile info. Mine is a 1975 M20F. The scoop is actually stuck in the UP position. Rotating the knobs doesn't seem to lower it at all. I took pics but I guess they are too big,. Can't seem to upload them to the threa.
