  1. HELP!!! I have searched high and low for the AD that says  the old hubs cannot be reused after a prop strike.  I can understand that Hartzell would want to retire them and sell a B hub but they were certified by the FAA and a service bulletin can't eliminate them unless used as part 121.  Owners such as you and I are not affected by SBs unless mandatory SB I believe.  Correct me if I am wrong.  Of course aerobatic aircraft are in a world of their own.

And if you will check with a few prop shops you will find the B hub is more fragile.  The great lady at western propeller has one down now and she is very helpful.

  2. I prefer the old type hub for a different reason.  Those old hubs were built like a truck.  They would overhaul after a prop strike again and again.  The new B hub has a thin shelf inside and very very seldom is it possible to overhaul after a strike. I just had a Comanche prop with minor nicks on one blade while the other blade was still nice.  tt on the entire prop was 68 hours.  Western Propeller just disassembled it and found the shelf cracked.  The best is an A hub as it does not require inspection and still has the heavy interior. I believe there is a hidden agenda in the woodpile at Hartzell.  Jerry P

  3. A friend of mine here is parting a very nice well equipped 1991 MSE.  At this point the entirearrow-10x10.png plane is here.  call me, Jerry at 423 231 3491 for details.  GNS530, Garmin GTX330 transponder   king 150 autopilot kcs55A etc.  IO-360 A3B6D Lycoming with 1032 since POPLAR GROVE overhaul, new skytec starter, electric standby vacuum etc.  also articulating seats and rear fold down with all mounting hardware

  4. I bought an M20K from insurance company and picked it up at xxx.  they said the pilot pulled out of a dive hard enough to crush the pilots seat.  when i picked it up only the right seat bottom was in it. no seat back.  Left seat with arm rest was perfect. You guys with armrests,..can the right seat be moved over to the pilots side?  That pesky armrest is on he pilots seat.  soooo pilot seat was good I assume.  the copilot seat back was missing and the articulating bottom had been changed. loose upholstery etc.  Or possibly you see a different scenerio??????

  5. They are scarce.  Wentworth buys more salvage planes than anyone else but I sold him a pair out of a Porsche (part of the Florida fiasco) for his Bravo for $4000.   My Bravo already had them so I thought they were standard but guess not.  If someone needs my bottom its available but the height adjuster is invaluable. jerryP

Ok. Does the plug type only come with individually removable gauges? Or can you get it with a single glass covering all gauges?
