  1. My first try at a GoPro video. I went did a few circuits at the airport up the road (Bhisho - FABE) and the clip is mostly of departing my local field, Wings Park (www.wingspark.co.za) and of returning. http://youtu.be/cTAaBk8Nym4
  2. Avgas is around R18 to R20 per liter. That equates to $6.20 to $6.90 per Gal.
  3. I believe that there are around 100.
  4. Hi All, I am finally part of the Mooney family. I took delivery of my 1967 M20F Executive 21 yesterday. Suffice to say that I am extremely happy. This is the first plane I will own outright on my own, so I am looking forward to the freedom that will bring. I have attached a few photos below:
  5. Thanks for the responses. I have seen a figure of 24hr which I thought was excessive. Ho hum . . .
  6. Tony Liebold I am in the process of purchasing my first mooney, a 1967 M20F Executive (see picture below - the plane in the foreground). I have some time flying the J model so am looking forward to manual gear ;-) . This will be my second plane. The first was a Cherokee 140 (with a 180hp motor). I cut my teeth learning to fly in her, in fact did my PPL training in her. My family enjoys flying so we have a lot of plans to see our country (South Africa) from the air. I also have a lot of plans to use her for business travel as this year I am planning on expanding and growing my business. The only problem now is waiting for her to be ready for me to collect :-( :-) ;-). Hopefully she will be ready next week. I have been reading a lot on the forum and have found a lot of useful info. Great forum and by all accounts great people. Tony Ho hum . . .
  7. Hi, How much time (hours) should one expect a qualified Mooney mechanic to take to change the windshield on a M20F Exec? I am talking about the original windshield (not a J mod). Just a replacement because the screen is starting to get below spec. Regards Tony
  8. I had the privilege of meeting Dave and Ruth at the Leesburg fly in where he was presented with the award. A fantastic couple is all I can say. Ho hum . . .
  9. I was there. I caught a ride from Tampa (Peter O Knight) with a local Mooney owner that Dave put me in touch with. I was in the US on holiday, visiting from South Africa. It was fantastic to see so many Mooney's in one place. The event was also a celebration of Dave's flying career. He received an FAA award for 50 years of safe flying. Impressive and a really nice chap. Tony Ho hum . . .
