  1. I would be interested in buying the empty fuselage including the wings and tail. Please let me know if you do decide to part it out. Thanks Mitch
  2. I'm located in South West Florida. If anyone could tell me of any salvage yards anywhere in the south east United States that would be great I can start there. As far as any pushback from local government I plan on just doing it and suffering the consequences afterwards. I'll post pictures once it's complete. Thanks again to everyone for any help you can provide. Mitch
  3. Hey Guys, My family and I are Mooney lovers through and through. We have flown our little Mooney all over the country. We have decided to use an airplane fuselage for a treehouse in our back yard. We live on the Main Street in our town where it will be highly visible. So with that all said it can only be a Mooney! Does anyone have an old fuselage they would sell or know of one for sell? Thanks, Mitch
  4. Hey guys, Is there anyone out there with experience on replacement exhaust systems for a M20E? I want to put a new stock exhaust system on my airplane complete. I do not want to have mine refurbished and I do not want a power flow exhaust. Any recommendations or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mitch
  5. I totally agree. I much rather land in a crosswind than take off.
  6. I really appreciate all the Information and opinions. Can anyone out there tell me the difference between a stock M20E exhaust and a stock 201 exhaust? Are the stock exhaust systems interchangeable between the 201 and a M20e? Thanks Mitch
  7. Hey guys, I'm looking for any insight any of you may have on the difference between a M20E exhaust and a 201 exhaust. It was recommended to me to replace my original 1965 exhaust (maybe not original but at least the same style) with a new Mooney 201 exhaust. I would appreciate any thoughts you guys may have on this. Thanks, Mitch
  8. Hey guys, Thanks for all the feed back on the battery. I have been having some issues with my compass. I had the gasket and fluid replaced but it is still giving me trouble. I have to decided to replace it with a new one. Any recommendations on a new one would be appreciated. It is currently mounted on the down post in the middle of the windshield. I would like to get one with new mounting brackets too. M20E Super 21 Thanks Mitch
  9. Hey guys, Any recommendations on what is the best 12 volt battery for my Mooney M20E? Thanks, Mitch
  10. I don't have enough good things to say about PJ (Phil Jimenez) he has worked on my plane for the last two years and never once has he tried to sell me anything I didn't need. He is very thorough and does great work. His prices are very good and so is his turn around time. He will always take your phone calls and if you leave him a message he calls back promptly. You should really consider this guy His phone number is (863) 873-9999. You'll be glad you called him!
  11. Hello, I bought my Mooney M20E Super 21 In May 2013. I was still a student with only 39 hours. I spoke with Cliff at falcon insurance in Kerryville Texas and bought my insurance policy for $1700. for the year. I took my check ride and got my PPL at 45 hrs. I then took 7 hrs of complex training and was given my complex endorsement. I had all my training in a Cessna 172 so the mooney was a little different than what I was used too. In my opinion the Mooney safety training is more important for getting to know your plane than to save a few dollars on insurance. I now have 135 hrs and my policy was $1300.00 this year. Their is a guy in Clearwater Florida that will come to you for Mooney Training. His name is Mike Elliot 317-371-4164. He comes highly recommended. I flew a few hours with him this past spring and he was great. Good Luck
  12. PTK, You speak my language! Yes I poured the coal to her and cleaned up the flaps. Thanks, Mitch
  13. No flat spots on the tires because when I came back around for my second landing and landed there was no vibration at all. I checked the tires and landing gear once back in the hanger and they were okay. The vibration was only immediately after the hard bounce and only until I hit the brakes and retracted the gear and did not Vibrate after that.
