  1. i love this program as an alternate to my 430. Very convenient for looking up airport information. And with the general gps from my samsung 3 tablet it was very accurate for VFR. It also has great tracking for the ground maps.
  2. That looks great.
  3. I just stink at hot restarts. I think it is a PIC, and not the plane.
  4. I did this as I thought the same thing. I think it is uphill both ways. And it is more like 300 yards and not feet.
  5. My airport does not have a full service fueling (no fuel truck) and I either have to start my plane to fill it or I have to pull it 400 feet up a slight grade. It is definitely a work out when I do it. I have seen golf carts pull planes, but does anyone have any suggestions. I hate starting it, stopping it, fueling it, and restarting it. It sometimes doesn't start very nice after fueling. Pictures would be great too. I was thinking of riding lawn mowers. Nothing expensive, because it will be stored in the hangar and only used as a plane mule. Mark
  6. i am flying over, but I am probably newer than you.
  7. I am going, but very nervous about landing there. got my license in october and it has been a terrible winter for flying.
  8. I have read my airframe logs and it does not mention any paint job. My logs don't seem to be the best though. But that is my plane. But I will surely look again just to be certain.
  9. I have a 66 M20E with original paint, and I haven't washed this type of paint (this plane is pretty new to me) in quite a while. I had some grease/oil from my engine streak on my paint and it just smears and stains the paint. I used dish washing soap (dawn) and cold water (all i had) to wash the plane and it wouldn't come off. Any suggestions. Also, best way to wax the plane, and what is the best wax to use? Thanks Mark
  10. I have been flying my 66M20E for out three months now. I have been flying ROP as that is what I have been taught. Peak temperature and enrichen to 50 deg F below peak. I see people flying LOP and I am trying to figure out why and won't this kill your engine? If you do fly LOP, how do you do it? For long cross country trip 500+ NM trips, I use 23 MP with 2400 RPM at 8-10K. I am trying to be as efficient as possible. Mark
  11. i know, I just trying to figure out a legal way to comply.
  12. I have the shoulder belt, but I will see if i can do something like this. Always simple solutions
  13. Bob, Will Mooney give me the original empty weight and balance data for this plane. I have found the weight and balance data for a very similar plane and can maybe use that, but....
  14. OK, two problems that I have encountered. 1st - when I put my gear down (manual gear) at the numbers, I seem to unlock my seat belt and it comes off. I don't realize this until I am on the ground (a little late if I ever have a problem landing). It happens about half the time. Anyway, does anyone else have the same problem, and if you do, what have you done to solve this little issue. Also, I have all the log books for my plane, but I don't have the weight and balance for the plane. Any suggestions? I have the individual entry logs for most of the stuff, but a lot of times it just references putting them in the log books.
  15. I am based at I67 - Cincinnati West (Harrison). I live on the west side and getting through downtown to get to lunken is a pain. What contact information for Karl? Dayton is pretty close.
  16. Thank you. I downloaded an owner's manual. That is a big help. I have found some checklists but they were of different models and a lot of things didn't apply. Thanks for uploading, just don't want to make any early mistakes that will cost me. I have to work on GUMP as I haven't flown retractable gear yet.
  17. OK, I am from Cincinnati. Where do I find a good mooney specific instructor here?
  18. Thanks for the welcome everyone. My plane came with logbooks, but didn't have a POH or checklists. Does anyone have a recommendation for finding a good checklist and POH for my '66 20E super 21.
  19. I just purchased my plane and am looking for some guidance for the best climb speeds and best cruise settings for the plane.
