The-sky-captain Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 I'm wanting to add the oil temperature option to my JPI and was wondering if I can simply buy the probe ($140- AC Spruce), have it installed and be done with it. Or do I need a transducer?? The reason I bring it up is there was wording that the transducer was not included in the price. Also, any idea on the time/labor to have the probe installed? Thanks. Cruiser Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Oil temp only requires the probe. Mine was installed along with the JPI so I can't help with the time/price but it can't take more than a couple of hours. You can now also get oil pressure on your JPI 700. It might have to be sent to the factory for a software upgrade but I am considering it because of the JPI alarm feature. TomK Quote
