Sabremech
Just started the removal of the old six pack cluster and getting ready to cut a new right panel for the installation of the Mitchell six pack cluster. I'm making a new right panel mainly for the installation of an Insight Avionics engine monitor. Will post a copy of my FAA form 337 when finished for anyone who is interested in this installation. jamesm
I installed a Insight G3 inplace of the single Alcor EGT it is hard to see from the pilot seat from the original EGT location. Are you moving the Engine six pack ? or are you keeping it below the MP/FP gauge? James '67C
Sabremech
Hi James, I'm thinking of moving the cluster gauge over and having the tach, mp and insight in one row top to bottom. I'm also looking to angle that row towards the pilot for ease of viewing the instruments. I will be removing the little glove box I have and using that space for other instruments or transponder etc. I'm going to do a couple of drawings before I cut the aluminum.
