Took some friends for their first flight today

On the way home from Osh, I decided to make a couple of stops and visit friends. First stop was Grosse Isle, Mi. I got her Sunday and today took my friends for their first flight Ina small plane to Put In Bay, Oh in Lake Erie, a short 30 minute flight. We had a great time, it's a really neat little island that I highly recommend visiting if you get the chance. I let one of them fly most of the trip home and he really got a kick out of that.

 

Today I did all my favorite parts of having the Mooney, being able to turn a 2.5 hour drive into a 30 minute flight, taking new people up and letting someone fly themselves for the first time. Every time I get to make trips like this, I remember how blessed I am to live where this is possible.
