GNS 430 Altitude Input question

Hi everyone.

I looked at the pin out of my GTX335 for a pin out to the GNS430 (NON WAAS). Of course they don't provide it but they do have it for the GTN430W. Don you think that would suffice? it shows 5 wires. Really I only want the altitude msg to go away on the GNS430. I  was hoping to use a single wire RS232 input. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. MK
