Hi All -

I recently had the mandatory software update for dual installation GI-275s done (https://www.garmin.com/en-US/aviationalerts/gi-275-multi-function-instrument-software-version-v2-41-update/), after which the SynVis enablement on the units disappeared. I tried reinstalling it, following the directions, and no joy - I've tried many different types of USB flash drives/capacities/formats/operating systems with no joy. The unit sees the USB just fine, but doesn't reactivate the feature. The enablement is the only thing on the USB.

Anyone else experience this?

Thanks in advance - Bob

Did you try going into setup and re-enabling the synvis?  I don't know the GI-275 yet but I had one update on my G500 TXi turn off the synvis and it was just a matter of turning it back on, I didn't have to reload the enablement.

Unfortunately the SynVis Setup menu item disappeared as well. The S/W upgrade appears to have wiped the function.

Just to be clear, I should have said configuration mode, not the page setup menu.  I presume the GI-275 has that like other devices do.

Yes, thanks- Unfortunately I tried that to - there is no Config Menu Item either. Unfortunately. Even pulled the plane out of the hangar and fired everything up, thinking maybe it needed GPS or ADS signals to activate - no joy there either.
