Aerodon Posted November 12, 2021 Report Posted November 12, 2021 I've got setup to make these GMU11 magnetometer mounts - designed for 7 degree tilt, mounts inside or outside a wing rib, straddles the lightening holes in the rib. Mount the GMU facing forward or aft, enough space for a cable tie down. $75 for a machining and bending service, material and shipping is for free. 2 Quote
dmevans Posted November 23, 2021 Report Posted November 23, 2021 I saw your design from a post a while back… I threw it in CAD and started bending. Yours looks a lot nicer than mine. Quote
Aerodon Posted November 23, 2021 Author Report Posted November 23, 2021 It's time consuming isn't it? And hard to bend in the right sequence. I prototyped it on my CNC machine, made a few refinements (like insetting the one shelf bend so it clears the flange on rib lightening holes). Aerodon 1 Quote

I didn’t have access to a box/pan sheet metal brake, so I had to limit various dimensions so I could make it work. Your product is awesome! If you had it available for sale earlier, I would have purchased yours in a heartbeat! 1 Quote
