Saw a Mooney out of Branson today

Just wondering if whoever flew their mooney out of BBG today is on this board... I was waiting by my plane for our pax on the commercial ramp... nice looking airplane!

That was me! Nice looking Mooney yourself.  I was hitting some serious wind shear this morning and this afternoon… then experienced a 57 knot headwind back to Texas, uggghh.  I did get a nice 195 knot GS coming into KBBG though.

And that was only 150 TAS.. I was only running 2400 rpm, 18” manifold, and 50 LOP, and 8.3 gph. I should have pushed everything forward to see what I could really get. Btw.. I was at 4,000 in the soup when atc asked if I had a visual.. negative I was in IMC and 3 miles from the airport, then I popped out of the clouds, got visual, then handed off to tower.. the only guy in the tower delayed answering my call (was on the phone) and I was already on base turning final, experiencing extreme windsheer.. going to land anyway.  I was getting tossed around in the ground effect about to go full throttle when I miraculously touched down.. scariest landing out of maybe 1,300 landings so far. You gotta be on your game with the local tower guys there… happened to me before.. maybe I snuck up on them so fast :-)

I was in the green shirt in front of the G650 waving at ya.  We got rocked pretty hard coming into BBG at 11am.

My Mooney is based at KFTW. The G bird is at love.

Do you ever go to the 5th Saturday fly in at Cleaburne?  I'm probably going this Saturday if you want to show off your Mooney!

Oh yea I saw you!  There was another Mooney parked next to me at the GA parking and thought maybe it was you. When I did see you I thought.. why the heck is that jet guy waving at me, so I waved back.  I told my girlfriend that guy certainly inflating my already inflated ego lol.
