Boilermonkey Posted May 14, 2021 Report Posted May 14, 2021 Our former Bravo owner disabled the O2 system and we are in the process of rebuilding it. We are missing the "converter" part number 360-00-13. Does anyone know of a source or alternate part? Quote
Boilermonkey Posted May 14, 2021 Author Report Posted May 14, 2021 For clarity it is the control part that would be at the left knee of the pilot on the sidewall. Quote
xavierde Posted May 14, 2021 Report Posted May 14, 2021 @Boilermonkey Looking at the part number, it seems the Ks have the same system so perhaps you could find one on a salvaged 231/252. Quote
Boilermonkey Posted June 12, 2021 Author Report Posted June 12, 2021 A stroke of luck. We decided to move hangars and found the part in the bottom of a tool chest. Who knows why the priori owner decided to store it under the grease gun. 1 1 Quote
jlunseth Posted June 12, 2021 Report Posted June 12, 2021 Uh oh. Maybe you know this. All components of an O2 system must be “O2 cleaned” to make sure they are free of any petroleum. Petroleum will spontaneously combust in the presence of pure O2. The risk is there with anything over 40% O2. So a fitting stored where it may have received grease from a grease gun needs to be cleaned. Maybe a scuba shop can do it for you, but don’t just stick it into the system without the required cleaning. Also, there are stringent requirements about what thread lubes can be used in such a system. Quote
Boilermonkey Posted June 12, 2021 Author Report Posted June 12, 2021 Absolutely, thanks for the heads up. The rest of the O2 system was built from new parts for exactly that reason. Thankfully this part, the control linkage is probably the only part of the O2 system that doesn’t need to be greased. It’s the control linkage by the pilots left knee that turns on and off the flow via a cable back to the tank and regulator. Quote
