pilot716 Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Has anyone ever put rudder trim on their 201? if yes how much? worth it? thx Quote
N9937c Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 I had a 231 that had a STEC yaw damper installed and that gave me rudder trim. Probably still available larry Quote
KSMooniac Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 I've got to ask why you want it... If your plane needs constant rudder in cruise it should be rigged by a competent Mooney mechanic. Holding right rudder for a typical climb in a 201 is a minor nuiscance IMO vs. having another system nibbling away at useful load and requiring some maintenance. JMO Quote
pilot716 Posted April 17, 2011 Author Report Posted April 17, 2011 maybe the rigging needs to be checked then, because its not just on climb out, I have to keep it on during cruise all the time. Quote
KSMooniac Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 Definitely get the rigging checked then! It should definitely fly hands-off, straight and level while in a cruise configuration, so hopefully you can rectify that instead of adding parts to mask over the problem. Quote
