I by no means am a longtime veteran on MS, I've only been on the site for about a year and half. Seems like lately I'm seeing more and more posts from folks with just a handful of posts, new MS accounts and lots of new names and handles. It's great seeing new activity, new ideas and different points of view. I'm really wondering if this has anything to do with the Mooney resurrection and the start of another chapter for them in aviation production. Have they sparked more faith with GA folks and people are now having a feeling that the brand is alive and well with a promising future?

I know for fact that the "resurrection" of the Mooney brand has inspired me to keep a Mooney in my hanger for a long time. I'll admit prior to Oshkosh and the insight Mooney provided as far as company resurrection I was skeptical as far as future parts and support. This was probably more so in my mind as a newer Mooney owner with lower hours...I was always thinking what if I screw-up and bend something that is not readily available. Weeks, months or whatever of down time to have a part reproduced and then all the legal hoops and loops..urgh.

Anyway, I'm glad to see new folks on MS and think it might just have some reflection of the Mooney brand and the fact that they seem to have sparked a new interest for some that might have liked the brand, but not the uncertainty of the company. I know I'm ready to make a serious commitment  within the near future..I sure hope they are back to stay with great success.

I know that my giving rides in a plane that easily cruises at 150 kts at 9 gallons per hour raises a lot of interest in the brand - I have two friends shopping for their very own.
