Mooney Space, Please forgive me… new pilot, new Mooney owner, and new to the group! Took my wife to see our new (to us) 1967 Mooney. I was playing with the battery tender on the other side of the plane when the flaps jolted. I looked up to see my wife (130lbs) was on the wing to sit in the plane. She accidentally stepped on the flap. She thought the “no step” meant that exact spot. I can’t get mad at her because she is brand new to aviation. So go easy on her. Looks like she may not have been the first either. There are a few scratches on that part of the flap and maybe a slight (very slight) depression. Might be my OCD or just the extreme caution being new to everything, but should I be worried or check anything specially? FYI: I tested the hydraulic flaps and they still worked in the hangar. Thanks!!

Got an idea, not sure this will work but have seen an endless stream of troubleshooting help threads and then in some cases final resolution of the problem. Thought maybe if a thread was created that just tracked each individual problem and the final resolution, it could serve as a depository of noted problems and their resolutions. What I am proposing is that an owner can create a thread for help on a problem NOT USING THIS THREAD, rather in the forum and once it has been resolved, post the problem description, photos, resolution, etc. here. As an example; Problem: Momentary rough running engine that lasted for 6 seconds. EGT was noted to drop on one cylinder for 6 seconds 150 degrees and then cleared up. Resolution: Savvy Analysis suspects clogged injector. Injector removed and found to contain FOD. Problem resolved. If this idea works PLEASE DO NOT REPLY HERE, JUST POST YOUR PROBLEMS AND RESOLUTIONS!
