I purchased a console headliner at Osh Kosh from plane plastics, the link can be seen here: http://www.planeplastics.com/airplanes/mooney/m20c-j/page17/k130079-037 It is the wrong part number and it is just now that I realized it. It is for some of the pre-J Mooney's just not my 1970 M20C I paid 256 dollars for it but will take 100 or any reasonable offer. It may be a little expensive to ship so if anyone picks it up at KLOU I will buy you lunch (Or I will ship it and add shipping costs to our negotiated price). It is brand new and has not been used. has anyone considered or actually replaced with the plane plastics plastic headliner? pro's and cons and what exact model number is it? Otherwise I will just go with what is there, the airtex vinyl. I was thinking a plastic one is more durable easier to clean and remove for mx etc etc....I may want to add a blade antenna on the top next year and the headliner would have to come out..... I will enclose my current ugliness. Jim VNY

Hello all, Can anyone tell me how the speaker is supposed to be mounted in the headliner panel ('66E)? This is the long panel with the four round air vents and the rectangular greenish cabin light. This unit also has two spotlights for the (main) panel that are controlled by ancient rheostats. When I pulled the panel, the speaker was attached to it with large washers overlaying the speaker mounting flange. Then safety wire was strung between the four washers. I thought this looked kludgy and wondered if the speaker was supposed to be attached to the ceiling, but I could find no attachment points or bracket. The PM and S&MM give no clues.
