There hasn't been a fly-in in the Midwest since @mike_elliott abandoned us for warmer weather. It is long overdue for getting together again. I created a club here, "Midwest Mooney Flyers." If you are within the Midwest states, please join. I'm hoping to do this soon, perhaps November 13/14. There is a survey (external link) there asking what, where, when, how often, etc. for our event(s). Even if you can't make this one, please join the club and fill out the survey so we can plan. I hope to see some old friends and meet some new ones!

It's almost time for the Fall Charity Fly-In / Cruise-In at the Springfield-Robertson County Airport (M91) in beautiful Springfield, TN and this year we are stoked to have multiple non-profit organizations that we will be supporting including: -Veterans Airlift Command -Detroit Foundation DC3 Organization -United Ministries Food Bank of Robertson County -TN Kids Backpack Program -Women in Aviation International (Music City Chapter) -Dayspring Academy Of Greenbrier -VFW Post 2120 ……and of course the day wouldn’t be complete without some beautiful four-wheeled beauties showing off their stuff at the Wingnuts Classic Car Show and Shine!! So, please join us on September 29th from 10-2 for a day of fun, food and friends while supporting some great area charities! This is our 6th year for the Wings and Wheels venue and it is growing into a very well attended gathering of cars, motorcycles and aircraft. There is plenty of parking available to provide separation of the aircraft and cars. The event is free of charge, no entry fee of any sort. There are multiple door prizes available including a free Sky Dive, City Flight Sunset Tour and even a Flying Lesson. Airplane rides are available for $25.00/ person. Great BBQ with Sides and Soda are reasonably priced. The event is well organized with EMT and Fire Department on site. All we ask is no glass bottles, as we are on a taxiway.
