  1. Mike, I just ordered 2 weeks ago an install of the GTX345, GTN750 and Flightstream 210 for my Mooney. My old Narco COM-NAV will be removed together with an Aera 500. I will keep the GNC330XL as GPS2 and COM2. My 330ES Transponder will be removed in exchange for the 345. Ido have an Aspen PRO PFD and according to the shop there will be no display of traffic or weather possible on the PFD until Aspen releases the needed software update and I pay for the unlock code. According to Aspen, this may be in a few months. I paid already for unlocking TIS-A and had the traffic from the 330ES displayed on the PFD and the Aera. This will not be possible anymore until the software release and my unlock-payment. The GTX345 delivers only an TIS-B-protocol output, the 330ES had an TIS-A-output. I took the 750 instead of the IFD540 because of the better screen resolution. Also the IFD540 is more expensive to buy and install, if you do not have the advantage of a slide in replacement of an 530 unit. I thought also about installing the Lynx NGT9000. I like the unit very much, but according to the information, which was available, this unit works well with the Aspen, but it is not sure, how good it communicates with the GTN750 and the Flightstream. I wanted one connection for my IPAD for traffic, weather and flightplan-transfer to the GTN750. Anyhow, I have to change my App from WIngXPro to Foreflight or the Garmin App because the Flightstream does not work with WingXPro. On May, 2nd, the plane should be ready. 2. John, thanks for the update. Just send me a message when you are in FL. You can land in Spruce Creek and we can checkout our planes and have lunch at the restaurant right on the field. Stefan
  3. John, did you get your leak fixed? And what was finally the reason for the leak? Does your Mooney have the original unmodified engine from 1967? It looks like that I see something similar on my Mooney M20F from 1967 with the original engine. Your photos show exactly what I see now. Cody, what year is your engine? The maintenance shop explained to me that my engine may have no field exchangeable thru-bolts. Only newer engines may have them. The shop will finally check that out at the beginning of May. Thank you. Stefan
  4. I live in Spruce Creek since a long time and like it very much. I own a 1967 Mooney M20F and work for Spruce Creek Fly In Realty, a real estate company. If you are interested, I can show you our community. Just give me a call: 386-385-8884. Best would be, if you visit Spruce Creek on a Friday at about one hour prior to sunset. That is the time a lot of people meet at the Big Tree near the runway and the gaggle flight group is showing their newest formations. Sometimes you see 20 to 30 airplanes in the air. This Saturday, December, 12, is the date of the yearly ToyParade. Spruce Creek may be more expensive than some other fly-in communities. But in Spruce Creek you get a lot for your money: 4000 ft paved and lighted Runway with GPS-approach, just a few driving minutes from the beaches of the east coast, great community with more than 500 airplanes, activities for the whole flying and non flying family, including Country Club with 18 hole golf court, tennis courts ..... , maintenance services, avionic shop, good restaurant, several clubs and groups, EAA chapter and the safety of a gated community. For your budget you get a real nice hangar home or a nature home without hangar and an additional hangar in the commercial hangar area of Spruce Creek. Here are some links for information: Real Estate for sale in Spruce Creek you find here. Hangars for sale you find here. Homes withe hangar or airplane parking at the house you find here. My personal website is spruce-creek.de It contains lots of photos but is in German language because I am also the European representative of the company. Some information about my upgraded Mooney M20F, including a picture in a Spruce Creek commercial hangar and more photos are here. Stefan
